sometimes clarity with photography requires that i refocus and move around my camera many times! i also thoroughly enjoy blurring things in the back, so to make things pop! i also usually have a vision in my head of how i want a picture to look and feel, and then i try my best to achieve that. however, i am learning that it's ok that sometimes things don't work out the way i had planned, because surprises are always fun too. in the end, clarity is about delivery of what the heart wishes to share.

Sometimes we’re so focused on achieving a goal that we don’t notice our environment. Often this is taken as a positive, in the sense of “being in the flow.” Other times, as is the case with modern humans who have failed to see the writing on the wall in terms of global warming and climate change, its not. With ice caps melting and temperatures and sea levels rising, what are we to do now? Is it too late to save our species and the planet?
There’s nothing wrong with being focused on a goal, Bhakti wisdom affirms, as long as our goals are homonymous with nature and it’s divine source. But when our goals are out of sync here, we loose site of the causes of even ordinary human happiness. In other words, while patting ourselves on the back for our scientific and technological advancement, we can proceed to destroy our physical, mental, and environmental wellbeing, all in the name of freedom and pleasure.
In order to reform the situation we need to refocus, Bhakti luminaries suggest. That means making sure secondary goals like money making and pursuing temporary desires don’t take the center stage of our consciousness, at the expense of the primary human goal of enlightenment. When this balance is reestablished, through an authorized wisdom culture, all corresponding imbalances - physical, mental, relational, environmental - will automatically be resolved.
