The John Adams Family Home, part of the Adams National Historical Park in Quincy, MA. Captured this early morning reflection of the Carriage House in a small pool of water on the grounds.

I love smoothies. And I especially love making them at home. So I always go out to buy frozen veggies and fruits so that I can pop them into the blender at any time and make smoothies.
On the first day of 2014, I decided to make smoothies bright and early in the morning. I felt so inspired for some reason.
And then, for the same reason, I saw that there was perfect light falling on my kitchen island, so I ran and grabbed my camera with my 35mm lens. The photos came out so bright, and I loved them.

Also, to reflect on the past year, and how much I've grown as a student and as a photographer, I made another post:
I'm not much of a "deep thoughts" person. But sometimes I feel like reflecting. I guess this wasn't the week for it. Probably because my mind is caught in the midst of my graduate school applications, as well as a lab report and presentation that I have coming up in the next week. Lucky me, going back to school. My last semester of undergrad. This is exciting. I just want it to be over with though.
Anyways, wishing myself luck on another Project 52!

I couldn't resist posting one more fall reflection, this one taken at Fountain Pond in Great Barrington, Ma.

This castle has it’s rumours. There are the stories about the man in the jeep and his accomplice on the scooter watching over this castle.
The castle was built in 1860 by an marquis who lived in the town and it still is in Royal’s hands. Apparently, the owners cannot agree about a plan to preserve the heritage and therefore the place is left abandoned without having anybody to care for it.
The impromptu 2 day tour with camerashy and host to France and Belgium, with some new places, a lot of travel with minimal sleep and some goals being accomplished by getting to a certain school.

Reflective
Recent weeks have seen me reflecting on who I am where I am going. Scary heavy stuff and no doubt everyone has been there and done that and will do it in the future. No answers to the big questions yet. I know that I am fortunate in my personal life situation to maybe have more options and opportunities to express this part of my personality than some of you are able to. I also know that many of you are further down the road on this journey than I am and that is so wonderful. The beauty of this journey is that you can simply pull over and park your car and be happy at that spot. And you know what? You can keep driving down the highway or turn around and head back to a comfortable spot so just be happy and be content there. Right?
The recent series of photos I did saw me return to a spot in my city that is a bit of muse for me. It has several cool spots that I find interesting and contain plenty of compelling backgrounds. I have so much fun when I am out doing a shoot like this and I am always looking for a new spot and to try a new pose. On this particular night I saw this reflection and it spoke to me.
It first reminded me of my trip to Atlanta and the fun reflection photos that I took with Cristy. Then I saw something else here. I saw my image going deep inside the building and I saw the tree in place of my upper body and it seemed to be speaking something to me…sort of like this part of me enables my personal tree of life, like this fulfills or completes me.
So I am sharing this and I shall continue to keep searching for my personal answers knowing that I am the one that will find the answer to what I am searching for.

autumnal tones of the lime trees,(tilla tomosa) or linden tree. reflected over the spetch pool, river Teviot, wilton lodge park, hawick, Scottish borders, Scotland.
This shot is from sunrise at bogey hole. I reall wanted to get low on this shot to maximize the reflections. Although there is not one focal point, the chains are really intricate and amazing especially in the film shot which is very yellow and purple because of the way the white balance on the film. Still like it here though - can't wait to get the film scanned
