A walk in St Ouen between rainy days, unusual sunshine today so we are making the most of it...

There were many seagulls standing in small tidal pools resulting in good opportunities to catch some nice reflections

I searched high and low for a reflection of Half Done and then found this pond but then the ripples kept moving to the calm places, just when I would get set up. Photography is hard work and not recommended for sissies.

I am sitting in Curry Village trying to take care of some photo orders and let Nikon know that the D7000 is a bust. I am hoping they will let me trade it for a D300s but the difference in price is quite a lot, unless the refund for the inflated retail price I paid at Camera Corral. I was in such a big hurry to have that camera and to have it before going to the Tetons last May - my impatience has caused me grief - naturally. Well, this stop at the village was supposed to be quick but the internet is not cooperating. I'm surprised this shot uploaded. There is a squirrel running around the building, making itself comfy on the couches and such. He keeps coming towards my toes - bad day for the sandals. I'm giving up on internet for the day and heading out for a hike - perhaps it will mellow me some.

I got four days off this week and was hoping to explore more than I have but it has been slow going and there have been several things to attend to. Next week five days off! Maybe everything will be dialed in by then. One of those days will be a trip to the city, which will be weird. But, gotta go. Gotta get to Trader Joes for more nuts!

Okay, this thing to Nikon is never going to go and the photos are going to send. I am giving up until tomorrow. The trade off is beautiful Yosemite and it is worth it. And I knew the deal before coming here and was willing to work with it. Who wouldn't be?

The dogwoods are getting ready to bloom and the full moon is coming up - should be spectacular!

Reflections of the Night

Yay, my second photo to make it to the Explore page (although it's just at 298 right now, but still... it's there!).

Active Assignment for the week of 9th-16th Nov: Reflections

For the topic you should take a photo of a reflection of what you want.

Restrict: Don´t use Water for your reflection. There are enough alternatives.

Dare: Take a photo of a reflection of something red.

Have some fun.

The last of my Vienna shots for now. This one was a quick snap of the reflections against one of the more modern office buildings. Got a bit lazy with the f-stop here, should have been at least f8 really.
