Reenactors at Harpers Ferry National Historical Park. I was able to capture them walking past in the reflection of the window along with items within. This photo has not been enhanced in any way and it is one of my favorites because of how it happened. Scan of a print photo by a Canon.

Surprisingly, Blue Mesa is not frozen over yet. This picture was taken on 1/5/12. Weather was beautiful and I have never seen the lake so still before.
I didn't notice the cool reflection in her visor until I got home. No photoshop - all I did was adjust exposure a bit and crop.

- Reflective back shows my hand waving above the iPod. Only one focal depth possible, as the camera is f/0.8. Black is the reflected cooler ceiling of the room.
- Non-reflective engraved surface shows actual heat of the iPod ... which matches the blanket's ambient room temp.
- Note slight heat in the upper right of the iPod. I took a few pics of the front of the Ipod, and there was a hot spot on the left side of the LCD. This is leaking onto the blanket.

A change of pace: Here's the view from my room at The Marquette.
When I was a college senior, IDS Tower was the tallest building between the Mississippi and the west coast. Or something like that. These days 'tain't even clear that it's the tallest building in Minneapolis.
It's still quite impressive, nonetheless.
