Reflections on Lake Superior near Grand Marais, Minnesota.
I'm starting to get the hang of my new camera, but it has been a learning curve. I'm really amazed by its ability to capture a wide dynamic range and it's low noise. Coming from a D200 there's almost too much detail. I'm pushing hard to master this beast, but it's a tricky camera.

Photographed this chicken today at the Gentle Barn that seemed to be intrigued by it's own reflection. Please be sure and check out my other shots too :)
Lake Kuohijärvi (in Lammi, Finland) on a beautiful summer day. I love how pure it is and especially when I took this I adored how still and calm it was.
Paradise Lane, Bear Mountain, Connecticut. After a dry summer we finally had enough rain to fill some streams and knock a lot of leaves down. Colorful leaves under water make for some interesting photography. The water seems to preserve them like amber preserves things that fall into it.
Reflections is both useful and beautiful. Three knobs hold necklaces and you can see a bubbly version of yourself in the mosaic mirror. Dichroic glass and mirror circles on mirror. 12" x 20"
During the flood last month, much of the Kalabagh city was underwater, remaining, without electricity.
From the other side of Indus river, the feel still remains gloomy.

Only photoshopped item, is the reflection of the rooster in the center (removed my own reflection).
I want so badly to shoot with water and play with reflection...and I just haven't found the place yet. I challenged myself today to see if I could create a somewhat believable body of water with a reflection in it. The water here is completely fabricated; I think it looks pretty cool, maybe not very real looking, but something out of a dream.
I was photographing the opening of a new pool on the tiny island of Tomma in Northern Norway, when I decided to look for something a bit different.
As I was taking some pics of the kids, standing all lined up and eagerly awaiting the opportunity to jump into the new pool, I looked down and noticed how the tiles lined up well with the reflection of the children and the big windows behind them.
It was a shot just waiting to happen.
This is an image i am revisiting after using Spyder 4 Pro monitor calibration software. This came about because i got images back from the printer that were way off from what i was seeing on my monitor. Software installed and now that i am calibrated correctly I should be able to have images print exactly the way they are intended to print. This image is going to the printer this week to check.
Blackford pond on a sunny autumn afternoon, the trees are starting to change colour and a still day provides nice reflections on the pond. Popular place for a Sunday afternoon walk.
