Shot by phone today. I was hiking in Dutch dunes.
One from the weekend down at Trent Lock. The power station was really kicking out some steam due to the cold. This was actually the last shot I took before we left as we were quickly turning into icicles ourselves!
... Cathedral peak reflected in Cathedral Lake, Maroon Bells wilderness, Colorado .... the reward after a stiff hike. I could only fit it all in vertically on my iphone, I think I got a wider angle shot on my dSLR, but barely so ... the wind picked up and the reflections were gone in a matter of moments. I came back again for a longer hike a couple of days later, the ice on the water was completely gone, the breeze obliterated any reflections. yes, beauty is often so very transient ...
Back to Langstone Harbour again yesterday evening to capture the sunset, clouds looked promising and some decent colour in the sky but sadly a north west wind was creating too much movement in the water for any reflections, still it was good to get out with the Nikon again!
1/10th second exposure using a Lee 0.9 ND grad filter.
