Reflection in the lake...

Lensbaby f4 single glass lens

Waited ages for an orange car to come past so as to match the mirror frame but decided red will have to do....😀

Another shot that Mrs Andy suggested I took. Where would I be without her?!

Water reflections in various colors and shapes mesmerize me. Constantly changing shapes, lines and patterns. Living abstraccts fascinagting to watch. Trigger creativity. What do you see in such reflections?

Another catch up shot, this time reflections from week 8.

I managed to grab a couple of hours out with the camera last Friday so popped off to one of my regular graffiti haunts.

Was presented with this wonderful reflection of the P&G factory which I always think would not look out of place in Gotham city.

Took a few shots, getting down low to make the most of the reflection.

Decided on a selective colour edit to make the reflections really stand out.

I know a lot of photographers are not fans of this type of edit but I have always enjoyed doing them and I think they work well if the subject lends itself to this type of editing.

On my way to catching up and hopefully will be back up to date very soon.

Before heading up to North Lake, we explored the lowlands around Bishop Creek. I was excited to come across this little bog for a nice reflection and foreground element.

When it gets too dark to see with the naked eye, I play with light to capture traces of a performance of dancing light and human stillness. During the few seconds while the picture is being taken, Kim looks at the stars in the silence of the night. In those moments it seems like time has slowed down.

On a hike on the Asitz.

Sometimes you just need to wait a bit: When I looked across the little lake I saw some hikers walking along it, but I was too slow to take the picture. Luckily, some other hikers where coming and I just had to wait 2 minutes to take the shot :)

As I cut the top of the cloud (the real one) I needed to fix that in PS. First I expanded the canvas size and then used content aware fill to fill the blank area. Some cloning & stamping later I got a fake top for the cloud. Then I adjusted the luminance level of the blues and that was about it.

The reflections in the sand were not vivid enough in this picture of Manly Beach, so Photoshop Elements helped things along, and made a suitable submission for the Sliders Sunday group, where too much processing is encouraged. HSS to everyone!

Sweet potatoes reflection from a spoon. Shot specifically for Smile On Saturdays theme "Reflection in a spoon". If you look close you can see a scene from The Godfather movie where Bonasera (Salvatore Corsitto) asks a favor from Don Corleone (Marlon Brando). This painting is No. 1 from a limited Godfather series made by a Brisbane pop artist Merry Sparks.
