Reflections gone mad

This shop window in the fashionable area of Montpellier in Cheltenham shows the reflections of the other shops in this courtyard setting.

Reflections off a van window of some interesting juxatposed building styles. This sums up Albuquerque architecture for me - no single distinctive unifying style, but rugged individual styles jumbled together side by side.

Haha silly me..I was mean't to take a reflection shot of this pretty bell I bought today..but couldn't get me out of the picture...anyway it wouldn't stop spinning so had to go with the obvious idea...this is agains the window in the dark.

Images of the new John E Jaqua Academic Center for Student Athletes and its fountain/reflecting pool on the University of Oregon campus. In this image water is pouring over the corner of the reflecting pool in the bottom center of the picture causing the reflection to warp the lines of the windows.

Reflection on the water

When looking at some of the reflection shots I had taken I began to wonder if Monet and the impressionists had developed their style after sitting lakeside and watching the world through reflections. Sometimes what we see in the mirror is better than what we see in real life.

Reflections on Lough Ree

I shot this the other day on the Paint Creek trail in Orion Township. The fall colors reflected pretty good in the water, which was surprisingly blue.

Another reflection of the trees in the LEC building - this time with flashes of sun.

reflections on the Balmaha boatyard

I didn't notice the reflections until my second time round the waterlily house.

Despite the queen being the most diverse piece both technically and strategically, the chess board is still a male's world. This is an analogy that applies to the broader social context. Society is haunted by patriarchy and reflections of this REAL apparition are everywhere.

"Patriarchy is like the elephant in the room that we don't talk about, but how could it not affect the planet radically when it's the superstructure of human society." - Ani DiFranco

Reflections....the architecture of Jean Nouvel and Frank Gehry.

"Vision Machine"....this is the term Jean Nouvel used to describe his building on 11th Ave. in Chelsea. Here you see it reflected within the glass facade of Frank Gehry's neighboring IAC Building.

Through the mirror of my mind

Time after time

I see reflections of you and me

Reflections of

The way life used to be

Reflections of

The love you took from me

Oh, I'm all alone now

No love to shield me

Trapped in a world

That's a distorted reality

Happiness you took from me

And left me alone

With only memories

Through the mirror of my mind

Through these tears that I'm crying

Reflects a hurt I can't control

'Cause although you're gone

I keep holding on

To the happy times

Ooh, when you were mine

As I peer through the window

Of lost time

Looking over my yesterday

And all the love I gave all in vain

(All the love) All the love

That I've waisted

(All the tears) All the tears

That I've tasted

All in vain

Through the hollow of my tears

I see a dream that's lost

From the hurt

That you have caused

Everywhere I turn

Seems like everything I see

Reflects the love that used to be

In you I put

All my faith and trust

Right before my eyes

My world has turned to dust

After all the nights

I sat alone and wept

Just a handful of promises

Are all that's left of loving you

Reflections of

The way life used to be

Reflections of

The love you took from me

In you I put

All my faith and trust

Right before my eyes

My world has turned to dust
