Taken just before sunrise. I used two sets of 2 shot HDR. One for foreground and another for the building and focus stacked in photoshop. So 4 photos total to create this image. I'd love to get some red in the sky for this composition but it would take a pretty special sunset and might also need to be closer to winter solstice. But hey, blue sky works too.
This reflecting pool is a the beginning of the Aga Kahn Garden. It is wonderful! A shallow pool of black granite. Love the tall trees reflected.
These glass globes are currently floating in the reflecting pool at the Missouri Botanical Garden. There is an ehbibit of Chihuly's art there now.

In Denver last weekend; went to the Botanic Garden. Not the best time of the year for this, but fewer people to get in the way.

A view of the Lincoln Memorial from the end of the Lincoln Memorial Reflection Pool on the National Mall in Washington, DC.
Got really lucky with the timing of this shot, took advantage of the only break in the clouds I saw all day.

View down the Reflecting Pool, the Lincoln Memorial behind me.
Using vintage lenses since a while now, and enjoying it so much, I decided to use my film cameras again. The first in line is my Zeiss Ikon Super Ikonta C with a 10.5cm f3.5 Tessar (45mm FF equivalent) and a Compur Rapid shutter.
I have never used CineStill 50D before. The film does have a distinct retro look. The images in this short series have not been tampered much with. Some cropping, slight contrast adjustments. That's it. It was developed and scanned at The Darkroom. I haven't seen the actual negatives yet.

It was already getting brighter when I arrived at the Capitol Reflecting Pool, but underexposing and a graduated ND filter in LR helped to darken the sky.
