Taken an early morning in April in Lyon before the boat-traffic in the river begins (and therefore also ruins the reflections in the water). Amazingly beautiful city!
....a shot which shows how the rising sun hits the lower part of this rock arch and reflects it up onto the arch itself. A phenomenon which has attracted people to witness this spectacle for themselves, and what a great sight it is! (Just don't expect to be there alone!!!) A shot by way of a change from our green, damp summer.
Sunrise from Schwabacher Landing in Grand Teton National park. I had gone there the day before but by the time I got there it was crowded enough that I moved on to a different spot. So this day I got there around 5 am and was the first one there. It was cold, around 45 degrees. I hunkered down and waited for the magic to happen. It did not disappoint. One of my favorite photos I’ve ever taken.

I photographed Baldwin Lake as it seemed that the winter colors of the trees & shrubs along it's shoreline, were being reflected upon the rippling surface.

After yesterdays slightly damp visit to Dunstanburgh castle Mel and I decided that with the promise of a better forecast we would again return to the same location. I had been very interested in getting a shot of the castle reflected in the now flooded field to the northwest as this is not a typical view of Dunstanburgh and who knows how long this situation will last.
These two shots by Mel give some idea of the change in the field from pasture to lake.
This shot by Mel gives a wider view of the new lakes location to the left of the castle.
The 33-story First National Center, built in 1931, is reflected in the south tower of the modern Leadership Square in Downtown Oklahoma City.
I was out yesterday looking for something interesting to shoot. I happened to find this gate sticking out into the water with a perfect reflection, so the lines appear to converge on each other. The added bonus was the sun setting in the background.

Whenever I visit Attenborough Nature Reserve I keep my photographic eyes open for the possibility of interesting reflections. Lighting conditions are everything at this location because there are so few discernible focal points with which to make an image. This was one of those breaking dawns that did not quite live up to its early promise. However, the mist on the far bank helped to add some atmosphere.
I saw a strong reflection in the nearby water. I used some postprocessing to enhance this..
Watch it as large as possible!
