Sometimes it pays to bring your camera along. We were at one of our local parks walking our dog and we spotted this Coopers Hawk right in front of us and standing on a tree branch. As he moved from on tree to another we followed and captured this photo. We were pleased with how the late afternoon sun reflected on his face and body. The Cooper's hawk is a medium-sized hawk native to the North American continent and found from Southern Canada to Northern Mexico. This was a young one as his eyes are still light yellow.
Sorry... just been enjoying myself! I manually focussed to try and emphasise the light reflecting off the water. I've never actually intentionally done this before, it's just maybe happened if I've been focussing on something floating/swimming on the surface. It was quite tricky as I was shooting into the sun that although was low-ish in the sky was still very bright, probably not a great idea as I was seeing stars for a while after!

I can hear that which is seen
the aria of twilight
becoming ever clean
reflecting feelings in sight
taking me now, for all my cares
following me now, a gimmal of night and day
upon my finger this moment lays it's wares
taut by the radiance only nature can portray
heaven is a movement composed on earth
within view a concert suite for us all
our very presence, the ensemble for completeness and worth
this orchestration of the senses is sure to enthral.

Vestrahorn is a gabbro mountain up to 454 meters (1490 ft) high that rises out of the flat black sand beach on the Stokksnes Peninsula in Iceland. As the tide came in over the lagoon, I searched for a location where I could get a full reflection of the Vestrahorn mountain in the water.
