Life is funny you ya know ..whether it is the virtual world .. or the real unpixelated world .. one never knows what is around the bend. Just when you think you've done things right ..well it just wasnt quite right enough. It leaves one shaking their head wondering .. just what is needed to keep things as one perhaps dreams of or hopes for. You can love with all your heart but that ends up being to much and you find yourself suddenly alone not knowing what hit ya .. or you can remain still and watching and someone else will swoop in. ....really the lesson I have learned .. just when you least expect it and are not looking a door starts to open, just a crack ..what will I do? It is at those times places like Garden of Melancholy just gives you peace .. and perspective

Got myself up and out for what turned out to be a very pleasing sunrise at Covesea, near Losiemouth, this morning. This was taken at the height of the colour and I was able to make use of a rockpool left by the receding tide for a decent reflection of the lighthouse.
When the light hits the clear juice droplets that have oozed from this apple it is reflected upside down and shows the orchard trees close by.
As I didn't use polarizing filter water surface was able to reflect this duck interestingly.

Taken an early morning in April in Lyon before the boat-traffic in the river begins (and therefore also ruins the reflections in the water). Amazingly beautiful city!
....a shot which shows how the rising sun hits the lower part of this rock arch and reflects it up onto the arch itself. A phenomenon which has attracted people to witness this spectacle for themselves, and what a great sight it is! (Just don't expect to be there alone!!!) A shot by way of a change from our green, damp summer.
Sunrise from Schwabacher Landing in Grand Teton National park. I had gone there the day before but by the time I got there it was crowded enough that I moved on to a different spot. So this day I got there around 5 am and was the first one there. It was cold, around 45 degrees. I hunkered down and waited for the magic to happen. It did not disappoint. One of my favorite photos I’ve ever taken.
