On the 31st July 2017 the former Bristol Channel tug "St.Piran" (1979) works hard to assist the "Swedish Reefer" (1992, 13,930DWT) as it arrives in the very narrow River Fal for lay-up. The "Sweedish Reefer" arrived from St.Petersburg to join sister vessels "Hellas Reefer" (1991, 13,930DWT) and "Nederland Reefer" (1991, 13,958DWT). The sight of elderly reefers being laid up in the River Fal during the Southern Hemisphere winter is becoming common but time is running out for these ships as container vessels carry more of the chilled food.
