Pennies for the Planet is a fun, educational fundraising campaign for kids! This year, kids can learn about the migrating habits of butterflies in Arizona; sandhill cranes and endangered whooping cranes in Nebraska; and a variety of beach-nesting birds along Mississippi's Gulf Coast, still recovering from the oil spill. 100% of funds raised go towards these projects!
Found this little recycling bin at the dollar store yesterday and knew right away I needed it for a photography prop.
See other images I have taken of hands holding things.

Greyfriars was full of gardens growing herbs, fruits and vegetables. I guess.... the soil just must be richer there.

"This is a Leave No Trace Event" …and I am proud to say that after a week of "radical self-reliance” out in the Black Rock Desert – our "trash" consisted of a few bags of recycling (mostly MOOP picked up out on the playa) a bag of desiccated eggshells and citrus rinds, and only ONE bag (of TJs packaging mostly) going to the landfill.

Next week's tutorial is the remake of an old one... from 6 years ago! It has better pictures, gives more detailed instructions and features one of my favorite upcycled materials: cereal boxes! Stay tuned!

A breve!
