We decided to head down to Nellis AFB near Las Vegas for the Red Flag 21-1 exercises once the wife heard there were going to be some B-1B and B-2 bombers there. Good choice. We were there for three days; the first day was horrible for photos - very gray drab sky but things were busy. These are some photos from the first day - not the best quality but we did have a good time. I took these photos at the beginning of February 2021.
The inland Florida Everglades is known as the "River of Grass".
These boats fly through the grasses with ease. At times the only
thing visible is their high red/orange flag over the tall saw-grass...

An airboat, also known as a fanboat, is a flat-bottomed vessel
(jon boat) propelled in a forward direction by an aircraft-type propeller and powered by either an aircraft or automotive engine. Airboats are a very popular means of transportation in the Florida Everglades, parts of the Indian River Lagoon, the Kissimmee and St. Johns Rivers, as well as Louisiana Bayous, where they are used for fishing, bowfishing, hunting, and eco-tourism, and in other marshy and/or shallow areas where a standard inboard or outboard engine with a submerged propeller would be impractical.
JOINT BASE ELMENDORF-RICHARDSON, Alaska (June 15, 2023) – An F-16 Fighting Falcon assigned to the 18th Aggressor Squadron, Eielson Air Force Base, Alaska, approaches a KC-135 Stratotanker to receive fuel over the Joint Pacific Alaska Range Complex during RED FLAG-Alaska 23-2, June 14, 2023. RF-A enables U.S. joint and allied aircrew to sharpen aerial combat skills by flying in a realistic threat environment. The aggressors are dedicated to playing the ‘red team’ adversaries against the ‘blue team’ allies during RF-A aerial training sorties. (U.S. Air Force photo by Staff Sgt. First Auto Works (FAW) is one of the four largest state-owned automotive companies in China. It was founded in 1953 and launched its first car, the Hongqi (Red Flag), in 1958. One of its subsidiaries, FAW Tianjin, started producing cars in 1965. From November 1984 it started producing Daihatsu cars in license, starting with the Hijet, but followed by the Charade in 1986. This car, the Xiali (夏利) would become one of the most successful cars in China in the nineties and can be considered an icon for the Chinese automotive industry.
The same designation is true for Hongqi, the brand originally intended for high-ranking officials. The Hongqi CA72 was based on a 1955 Chrysler/Imperial. It was followed by the CA770-series in 1963. In 1988 FAW started producing the Audi 100 under its own name, the CA7180/CA7200/CA7220-series. Versions continued to be produced until 2006. Its current line-up consists of the ultra luxurious L5/L7/L9-series, the H7 and all new H5 sedan.
