Fabulous United States Navy Grumman EA-6B Prowler BuAerNo. 163887/NG621 from VAQ-138 'Yellow Jackets' departs Nellis AFB, Nevada during the 1996 'Red Flag' exercise
Looking at other shots of her I took that day this may have been an Air Test or a Range familiarisation ride as only two of the four crew were aboard
Neither is she carrying any AN/ALQ-99 ECM pods - just a pair of wing tanks plus that range telemetry store on the outer pylon
She landed back later

Vietnam’s red flag meets the steel and glass of capitalism… the flag flies in front of one of Nha Trang’s many tourist hotels. Vietnam’s deeply troubled history seems firmly in the past as the country looks ahead to an expanding mixed economy and increased tourist trade.
From the ravages of colonialism and prolonged war, the country is now known for its fine beaches, Buddhist pagodas, extraordinary natural beauty, lovely people and bustling cities. But for all of that, it remains a one-party communist state with tight media control and a poor human rights record.
Boeing serial number 19382 has had quite a varied career. It was first delivered to American Airlines as a 707-323C in October 1967, registered N7567A. Upon retirement, it was acquired by the U.S. Air Force as part of a batch of former American 707s to be used as crew trainers, and became Air Force serial 81-0892. It was converted to an EC-18B range monitoring aircraft using that serial, and flew as such out of Edwards Air Force Base until 1999. After that it was converted to an E-8C, and gained the new serial 01-2005.
