One of the cheapest brands in our local supermarket has a new packaging. I like it, but I also wonder; take off the logo and use a light helvetica, would it sell for double the price?,

Blog também tá de roupa nova!

I was asked to make a secondary design for Walford Natural Stone's Logo.

I went with this as a compact logo but the one on the back of the business card is the main logo- The 'Walford' with 'natural stone' underneath.

Personally I think the 2 logos look better with the grads applied (see business card front.)

Another redesign of Iron Man.

The default RedMonk theme.

My current blog design has been doing my head in for a long time.

It's stopped me from blogging, which is something I actually really enjoy and would like to get back into the habit of.

I've been trying to redesign it for about a year now, and every time I've had a moment of inspiration, it's been quickly followed by the feeling that it's shit, at which point I most often shut down Fireworks without saving.

So, since my usual process clearly hasn't worked, and at the risk of making an enormous arse of myself (and having people confirm my suspicions), I'm going to try something different in the hopes of getting a different result.

This is the second or third iteration of an idea which has been floating around my head for a while. It's miraculously managed to survive the don't save instinct so far.

Constructive feedback is very welcome.

In class we were assigned to find a magazine spread that we wanted to redesign. This is my final product. I wanted to highlight one of the most attracting sights students would encounter with the Russian Studies Program.

Please visit the original design to see the improvements I made with space, font choice, wording, and images.

not totally done yet, does anyone know by chance a javascript image loader for the body background???

It’s very simple now. But it holds in place very well. When we played it tonight…I don’t think anyone noticed except Lily. Lily did take all the corners out and look at them before hand.

Finally a nice redesign, just back to the roots. Great.

I only wonder what the black box is doing on top of the logo.

Realized today that the construction and remodeling built an addition to the Peet's on Vine and Walnut -- a tribute to Alfred Peet who died in 2007.

BP Oil spill logo redesign.

I had extra cabinetry and a built-in wine refrigerator added along the back wall of dining room. Since the kitchen is small, client needed more storage and counter space. The room had the length so it made sense, and the tall cabinet hid the unattractive corner bump out!

I painted and built/framed out the dip-tic landscapes. They had to be custom for a few reasons - a very specific size to fit onto the new wall space to hide the electrical box (which is sitting quietly behind the painting on the right) but without covering the switch plate just above the counter. And the backs couldn't be flat against wall like most store-bought pieces of art, but built out enough to fit over the electrical box yet still lay flush against wall.

Inspired by the conversation at www.subtraction.com/2009/03/24/collateral-damages-at-sxsw I thought I'd put my pixel-pushing skills to use and try to redesign the SXSWi badges, retaining all the informational/logistical elements in the current pass while adding a social-web username in the mix.
