Follow your own course, as the river.
When people's choices and arbitrary behaviors, often bold and proud, try to divert your path, maybe let them do, maybe bend yourself.
But don't forget who you are and where you were going. And when the time is right, raise yourself, as the water does when it protests, and remind them all that everyone has a road, and you haven't come down here to make you send back.
The sea, the outfall, your estuary: be them always your goal.

Following months of extensive refurbishment, the landmark redbrick Pierhead building on the National Assembly’s Cardiff Bay estate re-opened its doors on 1 March 2010 to take on its new role as a unique events and visitor attraction.

Church street is a main commercial avenue in Burlington. It's really a nice place because it's pedestrian and because you can find a lot of outside restaurant. People in Burlington are really cool, free minded, it's a place where I feel good. Architecture is essentially made of red brick buildings because of the english influence I guess. You like it or not, I do.

Journal:
This photo works to document the architecture, but not really for anything else.
old redbrick building burned down because of a bar. a wedding dress store was consumed as well - much turmoil for the brides on the eve of their weddings. this new building replaces the old. currently, the windows on the upper floor have this blue glow. it is unknown if this state will be impacted once tenants move in upstairs. i will have to get some images of this building in the daytime to capture the kitschiness of it's grass top. that is that, there is yellow grass growing out of the top of the entire roof. you can barely make it out in this night shot but there is something about that grass along with the shape of the building, its setting, form, glass and other materials that i am attracted to.
I don't know why, but walking around the University of Toronto campus always makes me want to look at things up really close and photograph textures.
I like the green lichen on that one brick, which really makes it stand apart from the rest, visually (it also stands out physically, and thus probably gets more rain, hence the lichen).
This is an exterior wall of the Graham Library at Trinity College, at the University of Toronto.
This is one of the redbrick buildings in Khabarovsk, around Lenin Square. If any of you know the name of this building, please drop me a line. I only know that on the left is a bank.
