As I rode across the bridge, I spied what seemed to be a photo shoot. But by the time I realized that I wanted to take a picture of that and turned around, they were all done. So instead, I camped myself against a side of the promenade and waiting for interesting people to come to me.
I did not have to wait long.
Here's the last pic to that celebration I did in April. Sorry it's taken me so long to post this Crowns! I drew it in May but had other things to post and accidentally forgot it at some point but your pic today of Sonic fanart made me remember. It was very cool drawing these characters! (If you notice I tried out giving them both the same pose and seeing the difference) It was like a walk down memory lane because I used to watch the show SonicX every Sabbath with my siblings. It was one of my favorites when I was little. Hope you like! Happy Monday Everyone!

Who am I kidding? It's a book on conspiracy theories, entertaining reading at best, but realistic? Don't think so.

After a much enjoyed picnic lunch by Brushy Fork Lake we traveled on down this road. Positive we were on the wrong road, but sure we had never traveled down this one before we pressed on. The road was one lane, gravel and we were surrounded by trees. And then... this beautifully brilliant Red shirt hanging on a branch!! No humans around. What did it mean? It must have been some sort of signal? By now we were in the Jefferson National Forest which include 1,664,110 acres in Virginia, 123,629 acres in West Virginia, and 961 acres in Kentucky, so yes, pretty big!! Along the road we were on there were camping spots that were just pull overs with some stones in a circle for campfires. Often next to stream beds that were now all dry beds. But this shirt was Not hanging at one of those camping sites. Mmmmm..... Eventually we came to the happy conclusion that we Were indeed on the right road and eventually would be dumped out near Mt Solon VA which is only about 2 hours from home. It really was a red shirt sort of day!! :D

I made this image last week when I was feeling quite low. When I 'm doing self portraits there are times when they end up revealing my emotions to me. I did not intentionally set out to capture this feeling. It's just what came out when I put myself in front of the camera.
The first definition of retreat is "an act or process of withdrawing especially from what is difficult, dangerous, or disagreeable."
On the good news front...I just returned from a fabulous girls weekend with some of my amazing friends and it was just the retreat I needed!
The group We're Here is celebrating hats today! This is one of my favorites, even though I look to be a cone head in it.
LoL, serves me right. I'd been tickling Lexi for shot after shot and then she was like, hey, wait a minute!
