Brass plated steel jumprings and chain are the main components of this chain maille necklace. I’ve added handsome rust coloured red jasper beads and drops to complement the chain maille.
These soft pink freshwater pearls contrast strikingly with rough little asteroidal lava beads. They are knotted on black silk and hanging from the strand is a hollow formed, pendant/clasp, of my own design. Just put the key into the hole on the back, slide it through the slot, over to the edge and up to the top, where it rests. It operates very smoothly and is very secure.
The length is 18", including the 2" diameter pendant.

This piece started with a paper collage sealed in Ice Resin framed by a BSue Gold frame. The black crystal beads and red jasper beads were chosen to compliment the collage. There are some rectangle and oblong glass beads for contrast. I also added a "freebee" from BSue in the charm hanging from the second chain.

I made a button and loop clasp.

Ulricke sent me this large red Jasper stone, so I created this bezel for it from seed beads, bugle beads, and Carnelian rounds. It hangs on a seed bead and Carnelian double chain.
So yay! These are most definitely Jaspers! Pretty, no? I have some shots of Brecciated Jaspers too... I'll upload them!

...I'm the one who folds and puts away the linens in our house!!! Sometimes being perfect is a curse!
This is me after folding linens and other laundry that had been sitting around in bags in our room for weeks. Since I had finished with class today (on the 26th, actually) and since I did not have to worry about writing my final paper (I'm so relieved because on Wednesday my Professor said that he wanted me to write a 6 instead of 2 page paper for the final paper but then today he called me into his office - oh no - and told me that my other two papers and my class participation were really good and that I was "done with him" ... until the class I have with him this fall!), Kiff read Harry Potter to me while I was folding laundry. We got through the first 6 chapters (but know how it ends).
The reason I included this in the New Mexico set was to illustrate the cubboard that all of the houses in our neighborhood, which were all built in the 50s by the same architect, have.
