This was taken down in Devon yesterday. An amazing trip and we were so lucky with the weather and so lucky to have seen these at last.

Late in the day we are back in Cromwell. We are now walking over to taste some wines from the Wooing tree vineyard.
Cromwell is located in the valley of the Upper Clutha, deep in the heart of the dry interior of Central Otago... in a landscape of bare brown hills, of tussock and briar, of purple thyme and tors of schist, of broad basins and fertile valleys, of Lake Dunstan's pristine waters and of gorges carved by two great rivers... a landscape first trodden by the Maori hunter and trader, opened to European settlement by the sheepmen, exploited and transformed by the gold seekers and later by the dam builders... and now home to the merino and deer farmer, to orchards and vineyards, to artists and artisans and to those, tempted by the landscape and history, climate and location and the myriad of pursuits offered on land and water, to visit this 'timeless land'.

In late June I had my 2nd outing to photograph the wild Foxes.
It was very hot and humid weather and there was concern that they might not show up.
The Foxes were finding the heat a bit much and preferred to stay in the shaded wooded area.
However the Red Kites were enjoying the clear blue skies and the thermals as they wheeled over the field performing the bird version of aerobatics.
A red mannequin face in a shop around Sendlinger Straβe, not far from the Sendlinger Gate in Munich.
It looks rather contented to me, even if we can spot a large grey pimple on his left nostril. I chose to not photoshop it out... we all have our imperfections, don't we?

I used my 500mm lens because I like the effect, but you don't need a lens like that... see below.... sorry Nigel I couldn't resist!
Call me slow, but I've only just realised you can comment on a picture without actually opening it......... definitely a backwards step IMO... I had been wondering how faves and comments appeared without any views! Now they've changed the way views are counted as well, apparently guessing that we wanted to see something, though it may have just been one of many pictures on a page in a group etc. Definitely dodgy......And those people doing that won't even see that I've written this, or any other explanation that goes with a picture, so they won't even know that I've explained that this is NOT A WILD SQUIRREL.
Many of my pictures are available to buy as prints, canvasses or acrylics at:

Two red tulips sitting in a shaft of bright March sunlight with the black background from the home studio propped up behind. 105VR on tripod.
A bright red anthurium seen at the San Francisco Conservatory of Flowers, Golden Gate Park. Aside from the flower, I was drawn by the repetition in the shape of the leaf and flower.
The battery in my camera had just died, so my husband was kind to lend me his for a few shots. Have to get a second battery for that camera!
