I've started making make bowls from old VHS tapes and looking for feed back from your recycling fans. Some are crocheted and others are coiled and machine sewn to add a splash of colour on one side.

This is a really unusual pin brooche each piece is OOAK. It would make a great gift, particularly for an eco warrior!!
The ‘jigsaw jewels’ range are made using wooden pieces from an incomplete 101 Dalmatians children’s jigsaw that was about to be thrown out! It is covered in spare scraps of vintage styled paper by ‘Basic Grey’ and sealed with a water resistant but not waterproof glaze.
The piece measures approx 1.5inches x 2 inches. As you can see, this piece is made using 95% recycled materials. Made using recycled materials and lots of love!

I am hopeful because all dogs deserve a good home and I want people to recycle their love by adopting from local dog shelters instead of buying new dogs. If people give dogs a second chance at shelters then less dogs will be put to sleep and all dogs get love they deserve.
The Milwaukee Road Depot and Station in Madison, WI was built in 1903 and designated as a historical landmark in 1975. It was restored and opened in 1990 with modern shops and entertainment. In 2018, plans were being made to fill a number of empty stores at the station and to make it more attractive to the younger people living the the Capitol District-area.
I made this by melting old plastic bags, and then sowed the pieces together to make a small tote bag.

Instructions - Chop down an old tree or branch, spray with white paint and decorate with anything you would normally throw away. Add colour with paints, glitter, ribbons, etc ..... and a few Christmas lights ... Hey Presto, a free recycled tree !!!

Week 51/52
One of my friends suggested that we gift one another with things we had loved or things we were kindly regifting . . . or things we were not using, personally.
Immediately, I grabbed on to her idea. There were so many things I could use to bless someone else.
One of the benefits of living a little while is one may begin to have things they would like to share or don't have time to enjoy themselves. Lately, I find myself looking at my things this way often.
So when this idea came up, I immediately thought of the wonderful classical music which came to me after the weak moment of responding to an informercial (something I have never done before!).
I really enjoyed selecting an unused CD for each of my friends based on finding one song title that related to the person's personality. It made me laugh to see my friends in these titles.
My one friend got, "Dance of the Bumblebee." If you knew her, you would laugh too.
All of the CDs were from this "Power Collection" with each relating to water, air, earth, fire, etc.
I thought it was great fun to "re-empower" friends through music. If you have not tried it this holiday, I recommend it . . . it's not too late.
Why not consider a "New Year's Resolution of Recycling" party? You may be surprised at how much fun you may have laughing together!

Normally, when I go out to collect the recycling cans, they're tossed on the curb or sidewalk. I guess one of the recycling collectors was feeling a bit artistic today.
