Antifreeze recycling is done in-shop at the Kentucky Army National Guard. The recycler is connected directly to each vehicle and pumps antifreeze out of the vehicle tanks, cleans it, and immediately re-injects it in a closed loop system. Thanks to this recycling, the KYARNG has reduced new antifreeze purchase to around just 25 gallons over the past two years while maintaining more than 100 trucks.
Headed out on some local backroads that I don't usually travel last September 4, just to get away from things for a bit. Found some nice trees, and the gate that became the subject of my daily photo.
I stopped in downtown Mulliken on the way home, where I made a pic of the town park's pavilion. And this one inside the recycling center.

Recycled materials — locally sourced materials and recycled materials were used. The exterior entry arcade stone was recycled from the Warwick building, which previously occupied the site.

This top was made from the front of some worn out linen trousers (the upper part) and the an old linen/silk shirt belonging to my other half.
Made Lisa some slippers for her birthday featuring a giant squid with a submarine. I think they're unfortunately a little small. The ones I made myself were too big, but I think I erred too much the other way this time. Guess I might have to pass these along to someone with smaller feet and make a third pair. Suggested decoration? Maybe a rocket ship this time?

I made this flower with shredded strips found in someone's recycling point on the street. The method used is called quilling. Quilling or paper filigree is an art form that involves the use of strips of paper that are rolled, shaped, and glued together to create decorative designs. The paper is wound around a quill to create a basic coil shape. The paper is glued at the tip and the coil shaped, these shaped coils are arranged to form flowers, leaves, and various ornamental patterns.

I'm not posting a close view of this washed-up grey seal at Margate, as it's a bit gruesome, but it's just nature's recycling in progress. The front of the head has been stripped of flesh first, I guess because it's the easiest to access.
Recycling wrapping paper and other leftovers from the gifts during the holiday season - and some clay and paint
Not damaged by acid or chemical spills, stonger and more durable than wood alternatives, and made from 100% recycled plastic
