Solimar is waiting in the holding area. For her, going to the operating room is almost a routine, at only 7 years of age, she has already had 6 operations on her cleft palate. Since she lives on the Atlantic coast, it is a long way to get to the hospital, one day by horse and another by bus. Still, she takes it easy and looks forward to getting over with this next operation.
Proper stretches, recognizing returning function and helping to facilitate muscles and normal function through activities is important. Here, Quyen, his therapist is trying out his new skills.
