February 27, 2024 - Andrew Berke, Administrator, Rural Utilities Service, USDA Rural Development, addresses the attendees at the ReConnect Round 5 Workshop held in Reno, Nevada. The USDA Rural Development Rural Utilities Service (RUS) is providing a three-day workshop on applying for ReConnect Funds in Reno, Nevada. This session provides an overview of the ReConnect Round 5 NOFO. Key topics covered will include eligibility requirements, new program definitions, funding categories, funding amounts available, funding parameters, submission requirements, and evaluation criteria. Dozens of volunteers and staff braved heavy rains a couple of weeks ago to reach out to students who left school before graduating as part of the Reconnect to Your Future campaign.
This year nearly 40 volunteers – including board member Pam Knowles and former board member Bobbie Regan -- knocked on the doors of nearly 180 students in an effort to encourage them to return to school. It is also a way for the district to gather more accurate enrollment data.
Since the program began, Reconnect Services has reached out to more than 5-thousand students and almost 60 percent have re-enrolled.
This is the sixth year the Reconnection Services department has organized Reconnect to your future.
The total amount raised as at June 2015 is £900,000, Just £100,000 to raise.

The 2022 SCO National Conference, themed "Restore & Reconnect" - sought to bring together SCO stewards, supporters and leaders under one roof, following a near two-year long hiatus from contact ministry due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Hosted at the Achterbergh Camp & Conference Centre in Krugersdorp, Gauteng - the conference was attended by young and old as guests, learners, students and associates became restored and reconnected around the scripture found in 1st Peter 5:10.
