Buddhist monk reciting (his/her sutras?) in the morning at an almost-silent forest temple.
The atmosphere was rather hair-raising when the loudest sound you could hear was the rustle of the breeze through the bamboo groves. In a number of prayer halls, I had to pause to take in the spiritual atmosphere that permeated the place.
I am a sad case of someone letting their faith lose meaning (I don't practice, and by most definitions, not religious). Yet, I still walk lightly and breath softly in spiritual environments. Somehow, my respect for religious spirituality is still intact, and I am glad for it.

Surat Al-`Alaq (The Clot) - سورة العلق بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم 96:1 Recite in the name of your Lord who created - اقْرَأْ بِاسْمِ رَبِّكَ الَّذِي خَلَقَ 96:2 Created man from a clinging substance. خَلَقَ الْإِنسَانَ مِنْ عَلَقٍ 96:3 Recite, and your Lord is the most Generous - اقْرَأْ وَرَبُّكَ الْأَكْرَمُ 96:4 Who taught by the pen - الَّذِي عَلَّمَ بِالْقَلَمِ 96:5 Taught man that which he knew not. عَلَّمَ الْإِنسَانَ مَا لَمْ يَعْلَمْ 96:6 No! [But] indeed, man transgresses كَلَّا إِنَّ الْإِنسَانَ لَيَطْغَىٰ 96:7 Because he sees himself self-sufficient. أَن رَّآهُ اسْتَغْنَىٰ 96:8 Indeed, to your Lord is the return. إِنَّ إِلَىٰ رَبِّكَ الرُّجْعَىٰ 96:9 Have you seen the one who forbids أَرَأَيْتَ الَّذِي يَنْهَىٰ 96:10 A servant when he prays? عَبْدًا إِذَا صَلَّىٰ 96:11 Have you seen if he is upon guidance أَرَأَيْتَ إِن كَانَ عَلَى الْهُدَىٰ 96:12 Or enjoins righteousness? أَوْ أَمَرَ بِالتَّقْوَىٰ 96:13 Have you seen if he denies and turns away - أَرَأَيْتَ إِن كَذَّبَ وَتَوَلَّىٰ 96:14 Does he not know that Allah sees? أَلَمْ يَعْلَم بِأَنَّ اللَّهَ يَرَىٰ 96:15 No! If he does not desist, We will surely drag him by the forelock - كَلَّا لَئِن لَّمْ يَنتَهِ لَنَسْفَعًا بِالنَّاصِيَةِ 96:16 A lying, sinning forelock. نَاصِيَةٍ كَاذِبَةٍ خَاطِئَةٍ 96:17 Then let him call his associates; فَلْيَدْعُ نَادِيَهُ 96:18 We will call the angels of Hell. سَنَدْعُ الزَّبَانِيَةَ 96:19 No! Do not obey him. But prostrate and draw near [to Allah ]. كَلَّا لَا تُطِعْهُ وَاسْجُدْ وَاقْتَرِب ۩
