Today at very early morning i met this very young rickshaw puller . He told me about his life:
"I lost my father in my early childhood. we lived in Norshindi ( A district of Bangladesh ) . My mother is blind . I have been working from my childhood. In early days in Norshindi i worked for a company. I drove their rickshaw. It is just one month i shifted in Dhaka. My life has changed after shifting here in Dhaka. Here i built a little house. I have to pay 150 taka for the electricity and water. Everyday i rent a rickshaw and work the whole day.I earn 200-300 taka every day. I want to get treatment for my mother . Doctors said my mother can be cured with proper treatment and can see normally. For the treatment i need money . I'm happy about my recent life. I do not have any complain about life. "

Once again Chicago lives up to it's recent reputation of having a less than desirable weather for the weekend. Following a spectacular Friday of sun and warm temperatures, Saturday as fortune would have it ushered in clouds and colder temperatures. The forecasters are telling tales of a snowy future.
I still love the city though.
Anyway... This seems to be the shot that many go after to signify Spring's arrival. I'm guessing the waters will begin to flow again sometime in the next few weeks or so.
Some of the minifigures which I bought/ assembled recently. Overwatch Hana Song was an impulse buy, haha... I was actually reading the rating of this Shopee seller and it was under the 4 stars rating. I saw the product and clicked on it, ahhh she is so cute! Bought her the following weekend. Love her bubblegum blowing face!
Mr Tang is from my usual local BL seller. He was selling out fast so I bought him. Liked his torso with noodles there... I removed his red scarf because it was blocking the torso print...
Uri.
Bought Agent Steve Zeal, he had been in the local BL store for awhile... he seemed lonely there so I bought him to accompany Jack Fury on the rooftop of Pepe's Pizza... XD
Will swap out the flesh arms soon for the rubber duckie guy... He is all set to join the beach party...
Christina, not sure about her combo. I bought her for her hair... Might need to change it, not sure for now.
I meant to take this pic a week ago, but the finds were snowed under. I was able to extract them yesterday. The one under the 13" Pontiac Phoenix is the '66 Plymouth that I posted recently. They froze together and I didn't want to break the Pontiac trying to separate them.
The bolt-on Kia Sedona (Carnival) is something I've never found before. It's scratched up but the bolt holes are fine, so it must have been installed wrong. The 15" Impreza next to it is mint, probably the nicest I've found of that type.
I should probably stop taking those old "triangle" Pontiacs because they never sell. That one is in nice shape and I couldn't bring myself to leave it. The 4-slot LTD/Marquis is in nice shape except the missing badge. You may remember I found one of those scrapped with a nice badge a few years ago, so I'll probably put it on this one.
The W123 Mercedes was buried for years and the clips rotted off, but otherwise it's not bad. The Rolls is quite nice as I mentioned before...it should clean up well. The 10-lug F-450 Harley Davidson Edition is super rare...the clips are junk on that one, but I want to see if I can get the Harley badge off and swap it onto a better cap
Luton & District Leyland National 537 turns into Luton Bus station, working in from Hitchin in August 1991.
Not much of this scene exists today; the bus has long-gone, whilst Eddie's Bar (formerly The Midland) was finally demolished in July 2015 following years of dereliction. The vantage point, from the car park above the bus station, is also no more.

The taxi driver picked up the recent arrival, Karen hair lady... Haha... :D She looks happy to be here!
Didn't buy much Lego this month... Might have to stop buying soon. :(
Recent transfers into First Worcester from First Berkshire are a batch of Mercedes Citaro 0530.
64030 is the yellow fronted example seen here leaving Worcester Crowngate Bus Station on route 35 to Blackpole. LK07CCA was previously route branded when in the Berkshire fleet for its route 6 in Slough
This closeup shows my ruched tank dress in the red paisley pattern I got earlier in 2021 as well as a loaded pizza I fixed in October. I have already fixed another one in December and have gotten another ruched tank dress in a leopard print which I'll post soon.

A recent transfer to York for the summer period is Volvo B9TL Wright Eclipse Gemini 2 BD11 CEA wearing Pride of the North livery having been taken away from the Coastliner fleet last year. It is seen leaving York rail station on the summer-only X40 Coastliner Express from Whitby to Leeds alongside ex-Witchway Volvo B7TL Eclipse Gemini PJ05 ZWL on the X43 Coastliner Express from Bridlington to Leeds via Scarborough; This and 2764 are usually based at York but can swap between here and malton as and when required.
The start of July saw the peak season Coastliner timetable come into effect, however unlike in previous years the additional vehicle requirement fell not on Malton but on York. This is in order to run the limited stop journeys X40 and X43 which have been branded as Coastliner Express - but in another change is that the routes have been changed on both counts. Between Leeds and York the services are very similar to Cityzap in that aside from Seacroft they run non-stop not calling at Tadcaster or Copmanthorpe; then the route through and out of York is the same as before along Malton Road and not serving Stockton on the Forest. The next key change is that neither service calls at Malton, running around the town on the bypass instead - which for anybody who has travelled through the town on a morning will know that bypassing it saves a significant amount of time.
The X40 comes off the A64 at the Eden Camp junction whereby it then serves the attraction as well as close to Flamingoland before going on to Pickering where the next new change is, as the new X40 does not serve Thornton le Dale or Goathland and inatsead goes straight up the A169 - which means the X40 serves a different stop to the 840 which stops on the A170; unlike what the timetable states which once again is a misprint (an amazing misprint) the X40 stops close to pickering NYMR station. Once at Whitby the bus parks up for a few hours and the driver has a day at the beach before bringing everybody back again, almost like a coach operators' daytrip..... meanwhile further back the X43 carries on as usual along the A64 to Scarborough rail station, but then carries on to Filey and Bridlington taking the place of the discontinued 845 service which in recent months has been the sacrificial lamb of the Coastliner network when there haven't been enough buses available due to the 845 having been cut back to little more than a shuttle from Malton anyway - now there is only one Coastliner bus per day to Bridlington and it doesn't even wear Coastliner livery normally. This can all be traced back to the decision to purchase Volvo B5TL's for Coastliner after little more than a week with a demonstrator vehicle (this following a trial with a B5TL demo at Harrogate which had to be restarted after the trial vehicle broke down after 2 days and had to go back to Volvo for repairs). Right from the get-go the B5TL's have had problems with Coastliner from leaking sunshine roofs, then starter motors have failed, and more recently there have been total engine failures as pistons have broken through their casing. This has meant vehicles suddenly being out of use for a significant period of time, and there have been cases where the same 845 journey hasn't run for a week because there simply weren't enough vehicles. The CEO of the company won't even venture to malton depot to discuss these problems, though a further 3 B5TL's are due for delivery in September; and following similar problems with the vehicles of the same type at Harrogate Volvo have now decided to undertake full engine replacements under warranty of most of the batch both at Harrogate and Malton. ... meanwhile this extra work means York currently has 4 non-zap double deckers with both 2763 and 2764 being joined by 421 from Burnley (originally a Coastliner) and a vehicle from Harrogate which would initially be 404 (ex-Coastliner) then an ex-Midlands President, then also being joined by 440 (also ex-Coastliner)
The Studios is somewhat of a divisive park. Some people complain that there isn't enough to do (not true), while others love the little details, perfect ambiance, and wonderful balance of attractions (all true). One thing, however, seems indisputable: that the park looks absolutely stunning during the Golden Hour.
In my opinion, no park looks better during the Golden Hour. This is primarily true near the park entrance, on Hollywood Boulevard, on Sunset Boulevard, and near Echo Lake. The reason these areas look so awesome during the Golden Hour? All that neon, which balances perfectly with the dusk sky (exposure-wise), and creates an explosion of vibrancy that is quite the ocular party. Moreover, from my experience, the Golden Hour is always just better when I'm at the Studios. I have no way to prove this, but I think the Disney powers that be control whatever scientific "stuff" it is in the air overhead at the Studios that just makes the Golden Hour there prettier.
I've assembled a new gallery of some recent shots that are inspirational/aspirational to me. Please view the New Gallery Here.
I take a lot of photos. More than I can post in my photostream. So I thought I'd try something a bit different. Rather than a themed video (which it sort of like a digital photo book) I thought I'd try something more like photo journal; Just the photos I've captured recently that I thought were interesting. Backed with music that I've been listening to lately. Sort of a video zine?
Anyhow, I was up in the Pacific Northwest and on my way back to Los Angeles, I made a stop in Portland to attend a friend's wedding. So the front side are photos from hitching a ride from Washington to Portland, walking the Portland suburban mall-scape, a select few shots from the reception, then back down in LA, where with the time change, my walking commute was suddenly in the dark.
Hope you find some of the photos interesting. And the music. This group resonates with me. Enjoy.
