I don't recall having this camera.

I had a couple others uploaded from this one and found the explanation to that.

"A customer handed me the camera and said shoot as much as I wanted to while they were there. I had never shot one before, so I had to fiddle with all the controls of course. I didn't get much of interest, but it was sure fun."

I'll check the rest of them to see what I got.

If you've been reading my descriptions, you might recall that I've recently been introduced to Ps Lab mode, which can create contrast between hues while leaving luminosity alone.

I've also discovered that if I make in Ps, a layer into a smart object, I can click on it, and it opens up as if it were an entirely different document! Whatever changes I make on it, when closed and saved, are then transmitted to that smart layer back in my original photo.

This way I don't have to create separate photo files!

With this one, I got so carried away, creating merged up smart layers, doing things in Lab mode, then bring back to the original, that Ps wouldn't save my image any longer!

I had exceeded Photoshop's file size limit!

I had three smart layers that had edits in Lab mode, then masking to reveal only certain parts.

I had dodge and burn layers painted on through luminosity masks.

I had curve adjustment layers.

Even the layer groups were grouped into groups.

So I had to flatten the image, then save as with a different name in order to keep going.

That image is in the first comment box below.

But of course, I felt that for sliders sunday, I had to bring it to the point at which I could no longer look myself in the mirror.

And indeed, when I look at the image above, I cringe.

And smile a bit too...

Happy Sliders Sunday!

A 246-metre-long pier (in Italian, molo) in the city centre, a few steps away from Piazza Unità d'Italia. Originally, the Molo Audace was called Molo San Carlo; this name derived from the ship San Carlo, sunk in Trieste harbour, the wreck of which was used as a base for building a new pier between 1743 and 1751.

On November 3, 1918, at the end of the First World War, the torpedo-boat destroyer Audace was the first ship of the Italian Navy to enter Trieste harbour, docking at the then Molo San Carlo.

To recall this event the name of the pier was changed to Molo Audace, and a bronze windrose, with an epigraph at the centre supported by a white stone column, was erected at its end.

With the passing of time the pier lost its mercantile function, becoming the destination of charming walks "at sea" along the city shores and the mooring of boats passing by or of wonderful sailing boats taking part in the important sailing event called "Barcolana", which is held on the second Sunday of October of every year in Trieste.

recall your past to cherish your present!

never forget where you were

and where you are

and where you can be!

For all the obvious reasons this will belong to a series of self-portraits named "Nidus". I want to be able to froze small pieces of my memories in this place I called home for as long as I remember, even before we called it our own. It's odd to be leaving, and sad at times. So I just want to have a reminder of a lot of those details for anytime I'll want to be back at it to be able to do so.

Wild horses have been on Paynes Prairie for as long as people can recall, occasionally they come to the wetlands. They are really wild.

Freightliner Class 90s, 90005 "Vice Admiral Lord Nelson" and 90045 emerge from the shadows at Hartford as they speed through with 4L60 19:46 Garston Freightliner Terminal to Felixstowe North Freightliner Terminal.

This was the last pair of 90s at Ipswich when Freightliner decided to temporarily switch to diesel traction south of Crewe due to soaring electricity costs. Consequently, they needed to be returned to Crewe, so they worked 4M45 from Ipswich to Garston and then 4L60 back as far as Crewe, where they were taken off and replaced with a diesel.

I don't recall the exact name of this location except it was east of Spanish Fork. We drove east on Hwy 6 to the water treatment crossing, the gate happened to be open and we drove back on the dirt road on the other side for this shot. Good times also 8/91

I don't recall which SL entertainer/DJ posted this during his show but was so funny when his cat decided to help. Was at Bound Elegance a while back when Oksana played and when Bamboo Barnes was on display.

Come and take a walk with me through this green and growing land

Walk through the meadows and the mountains and the sand

Walk through the valleys and the rivers and the plains

Walk through the sun and walk through the rain

Here is a land full of power and glory

Beauty that words cannot recall

Oh, her power shall rest on the strength of her freedom

Glory shall rest on us all, on us all

Wapalanne campers... regardless of what year they attended camp! Inspiring me to take a walk today...

It was 85 degrees this afternoon and I had to go into Chester, so I decided to take a walk by the Cooper Grist Mill.

It seemed like a good time to kick off my shoes and sit on a rock in the Black River and just relax for awhile. I

thought the water would be a lot colder, but it wasn’t bad at all. I sat there for awhile and then decided to

get up and head home. As I went to stand up, I slipped and slid down the rock and wound up sitting in the river...

Some days it’s just so good to be by myself so that no one sees me do these things.... also the reason that I

always carry a change of clothes in my car ( I didn’t need them this time because I was just headed home anyway).

Dayna and I pulled into the driveway about the same time, and she gave me quite a look when I got out of the car, with

my pants, wet, muddy and grass stained from sliding down the moss covered rock. She doesn’t even bother to ask anymore....

I also found a great fallen tree that completely crosses the river at one point and I couldn’t help but look at it and wonder how

many people would fit on that tree... and how many people I can talk into going out there with me...

with my camera in the river.... remote shutter release.... oh, yes.... stay tuned!!

I have kept a diary on & off (mostly off) for many years but since January 2003 have written every day. Each morning, when I write what I did & thought the day before, I look back on the events of ten years ago.
