Yes, it's still the falcon...

only some studs bigger than my old model of 2019 but this one comes with a lot updates and features a complete new covering.

It took about 2 years on an off working on this one.

This time I tried to get as close as possible to the circle form

and I tried to close most of the gabs on the covering.

The model features many ucs styled details within a scale that fits on every shelf.

Due to the system scale the proportions are still a bit bulk. therefore it has a full interior!

The model is more strength now. E.g. the cover slices can be fixed in position.

Still this is more a display model than play model.

I tried to built the instructions as much understandable as possible. But as I am a not the best practiced builder, there can be tough sections here and there.

funfacts:

3985 Parts

57x 42 Studs

2.450kg

If you own my moc from 2019 you already have about 60-70% of pieces.

You' ll also get a discount for the new instructions! pm me

Stud.io file on request

also I can share different part lists for the model without interior

or inner structure only if you want to try to build it with your own covering.

I'm back with another Speed Champions MOC of one of (Jeremy Clarkson voice) my favorite cars... in the world: the FD-generation Mazda RX-7 with legendary RE-Amemiya bodykit!

Instructions available for purchase on Rebrickable: rebrickable.com/mocs/MOC-217651/StudWorks/mazda-rx-7-fd-r...

Rims available for purchase on Brickthebrick (USE THE DISCOUNT CODE "STUDWORKSMOCS10" FOR 10% OFF!): www.brickthebrick.com/store/p/rim-224

Sticker sheet available for purchase on Brickstickershop: www.brickstickershop.com/Custom-Sticker-Mazda-RX-7-FD-RE-...

This MOC faithfully captures the elegance of the FD3S RX-7 with the aggressive racing-inspired bodykit by Japanese tuning company RE-Amemiya, made popular from JGTC/Super GT racing and the Initial D series, where Keisuke Takahashi added the bodykit to his FD following the forming of Project D. While it's the same color, this MOC wasn't based directly off Keisuke's car, since this FD wears the "REsuperG" variation of the bodykit which had some differences, mainly fender-mounted mirrors. Being said, I definitely plan on building a Keisuke-spec FD (plus a pre-Project D FD MOC) in the future.

The front and roof area are inspired by Madspacer's Initial D RX-7 FD3S MOC, but otherwise the rest of the model is my own design.

Stumpy is an alternative build using pieces from 6866 Wolverine's Chopper Showdown. He(?) was built for the MOC Alternative Build Competition on Rebrickable.

Hey, I think I've seen those pieces before... And you're right. This Jedi Starfighter is another aletnate build of Lego's 75003 A-wing. Once again, all the pieces come from that one set. At least, this time the colors match...

I think this alternate building is growing on me. I can only enter one MOC in the Rebrickable contest, but I can still have fun and promote it! So I was thinking about another build.

A republic gunship turned out too complex and ended in one terrrible looking and undoubtely filmsy build. I did, however, took some techniques with me for this starfighter. I own both the Slave I and Obi-Wan's starfighter, and while building my previous entry, I noticed that a lot of pieces where in common with that starfighter. Seeing another Starfighter MOC at Eurobricks inspired me to take the final step. And this is what came out.

The starfighter features an opening cockipt (with place for a minifig like Obi-Wan) and landing gear. It includes motors and realistically angled wings. Making the sharp nose was the greatest challenge, but some SNOT saved me in the end. The color scheme ended up looking a tiny bit like Obi-Wan's starfighter, so that's a good thing.

So what do you have to remember from this adventure? Buy two A-wings, and you get an opportunity to recreate that chase sequence in Episode Two. Just like the old days. A set is never one set!

Micro ships from what is simply the best Star Wars series, Rebels! The photos here show a collection of smaller Rebels ships and starfighters, The Ghost and the CR90 Liberator. Instructions on Rebrickable…

.

rebrickable.com/users/ron_mcphatty/mocs

.

The Liberator is the largest MOC I've designed and built, it also marked the end of my micro (1:250) streak back in 2021. It life as the more recognisable Tantive IV I decided to add an alternate colour scheme and build that instead, it's 59.6cm long and weighs a hefty 1.6kg! The structure is solid and I've managed to squeeze a not-to-scale interior in there, just for fun.

.

The Ghost is almost 1:250, about 3 studs short but structurally much more straightforward with the more accurately scaled version I came up with. It also has an interior, plus a removable tiny Phantom.

.

The rest of the ships are starfighters from various significant moments in the show. They're all pretty sturdy, mostly variations of other ships I've built.

A highly modified S-100 Stringer-class Starfighter by Rees Serifa's engineers.

Named Vengeance after Rees Serifa joined the Rebellion. Having a life support system, hyperdrive, two X-Wing Laser cannons but boosted for a higher fire rate, two mid-frontal laser cannons, and three powerful engines to bring vengeance swiftly to the enemy.

Serifa was a Pirate Leader who lost her crew to the Empire while she was fighting another Pirate group in the outer rim.

While the pirate group the Empire arrived with its forces above Zeffo and destroyed her cruiser with all hands lost.

The arriving Empire forces didn't know about the conflict between the pirate groups, they were sent to Zeffo to pick up artifacts and to do research. Finding the Cruiser there was a surprise, they knew it was owned by pirates so there was no hesitation in destroying it.

The rest of the forces were mostly lost on Zeffo and she had to retreat.

She pledged to avenge her people and destroy the Empire but with her small squadron of only 3 Starfighters and 2 Snubfighters, it was a difficult task to complete.

She looked to recruit people to her cause but since the Empire was putting terror in people's hearts she was having a hard time getting the numbers to rise anywhere.

After continued raids against small pockets of Empire forces her forces dwindled down to 3 Starfighters, her included. Her vengeance started to look weak.

One day she repelled the Empires forces attacking a damaged Rebel Cruiser, the Captain of the Cruiser asked her to escort them back to the Rebel base. The Rebel Commander offered her to join them and so Rees Serifa and her two companions became the famous Death Squadron of the Rebel Forces.

Seeing her team's amazing skills they decided to supply Serifa's companions with two M52X Starfighters. She was given the title Captain of the Death Squadron which put fear into the Empire's Heart every time they so that black and yellowed wings Starfighter.

Well, that Slave I has some weird colors! Not exactly minifig scale, is it? And that isn't even Boba Fett in the cockpit... What is going on?

Yes, I can read minds. But don't the colors and the parts remind you of a certain LEGO set? The A-wing (75003) perhaps?

Indeed, this Slave I is an alternate build of that set. Do you remember that good old days, when Star Wars sets came with alternate models (like the y-wing and tie advanced: you could build tons of things, ranging from a battering ram to a lightsaber! But I'm digressing.)

That's right, all 99 pieces come from the A-wing set. It was quite a hard build. I used up every single plate in the process, and getting some good SNOT done for the 'nose'-area was quite tricky without any real SNOT bricks. But hey, I think I managed quite well.

I was even able to include some play features. Besides details like the guns, some details on the wings and featured motors, the cockpit opens, a minifig can be fitted inside (and rejoice: even Boba can fit in with his helmet and jetpack!), and the wings can be tilted for flight and landing. Not too bad for just an alternate build, I would say.

This model was built for the December alternate build contest at Rebrickable (rebrickable.com/blog/2013/moc-alternate-build-competition...). Sign up and have some fun with alternate builds for yourself. I definetely got hooked. Lost of ideas are boiling in my head.

Thanks for watching. I hope you've enjoyed it. In the unlikely case you're interested in building this model, instructions are available at Rebrickable.

Here’s the rear view of my custom LEGO Shipyard Tractor MOC – a 6-stud-wide truck designed at minifigure scale, inspired by the cargo-moving vehicles used in shipyards and harbours.

As with the front, I’ve used some advanced building techniques, because, being an AFOL, I wanted an interesting building experience ;)

Ahsoka Tano’s T-6 Jedi Shuttle 75362, heavily modified with a lot of extra bulk and detail, and most importantly double-sided wings! 558 extra pieces required, landing gear and vertical stand included, free instructions on Rebrickable…

rebrickable.com/mocs/MOC-156143/ron_mcphatty/ahsoka-tanos...

Ahsoka's cape and Huyang's apron are by @thebrickway (on instagram), huge thanks for the truly excellent accessories!

The T-6 in the Ahsoka series is a fantastic live-action update to the original ship. The Lego set is obviously lacking in the wing depart, the back surface being totally blank, so I’ve taken the opportunity to fix that and add some extra details to the whole ship.

The wings are a back-to-back construction held together with brackets. I’ve also added more details all over the hull and rebuilt the cockpit to match the new look and proportions.

Overall I’ve added around 160g of weight to the set. Surprisingly it’s still very swooshable and with all the extra weight it is very satisfying to hold!

This MOC shows a villa on the Mediterranean that is inhabited by a philosopher who also loves the night and it's stars. The villa fits perfectly in the Carebean or at the Mediterranean! It pops up a bit, because the vegetation grows over the black podium.

☠️ Highlights of the Build:

1. A big building: The bug building has two floors with inventory and a small tower.

2. Realistic Palm! The Palms make it feel like a tropical Island with their curved tribes.

3. Story time! The fact that there aren't any minifigures in this MOC leaves space for an exciting story to happen with your own imaginations and your own minifigs.

One of my favourite cars, and favourite MOCs is the NC Mazda MX5.

Plans for building one for yourself are now available on Rebrickable:

rebrickable.com/mocs/MOC-32964/lego911/mazda-mx5-nc-roads...

The model has functioning piston Technic engine, along with independent suspension front and rear, all packed into a pretty compact Miniland-scale model

Mazda launched the first MX5, also known as the Miata, in 1989. The car evoked the spirit of the MGB and other affordable British roadster of the 1950s and 1960s. In contrast to mainstream affordable cars of the time, the MX5 had rear-wheel-drive, and prioritised handling dynamics over vehicle packaging and system commonisation.

Mazda has subsequently released a further three generations of the MX5. The third, the NC Series, was launched in 2005. The car had 1.8L and 2.0L engines, in part to address weight gains. This was particularly evident in the folding hardtop model.

Nonetheless, the MX5 retained its delightful handling and pert good looks. For from being a ‘hairdresser’s car’, the MX5 is a vehicle for whom the joy of driving is a priority.

Cutter

(Instructions Available).

Only authorized personal walk the halls of Shinra Mako Reactors. Sweeper and Cutters are autonomous antipersonnel weapons manufactured by Shinra's Advanced Weaponry Division. These mechs are part of the reason why Shinra facilities are so secure. Both Sweepers and Cutters can move surprisingly quick. They can smash into an opponent knocking them down, at which point they will try to stomp on them. The Sweeper features machine guns and flame throwers. Cutters feature two enormous saw blades which are used in most of its attacks.

In [ ν ] – εγλ 0007 AVALANCHE encountered Sweeper and Cutter mechs while infiltrating Mako Reactor 5.

This is my own creation (MOC) of Yumi of Gessen Girls' Academy and Asuka of Hanzo National Academy from the Senran Kagura videogame series.
