Fellow Lego Star Wars addict Remco Rohaan kindly gave me his beautiful photos of my 'micro' (1:250) scale blockade runner, The Liberator from Star Wars Rebels.
This is actually a kit from LesDIY.com, who kindly sent one to Remco for review (he liked it!!). His professional set up has captured the kit far better than I could and I'm very grateful that he's given me permission to show these off on my profile.
Remco has build some amazing MOCs and all of his photos are superb...

And the kit is available here in both Liberator and Tantive IV colours...

I’ve been messing around with my camera again, trying to find the right balance of shutter speed and ISO to get a crisp photo with a tiny aperture. The little stud-built figures are about double the size they should be, but I feel like I’ve hit the micro-scale limit! I’m thinking of adding these figures to all of my ‘bigger’ micro ships, price is an issue because of colour availability, I’ll keep working on that. Most likely final version of this AT-AT MOC I have been enhancing for years. I can't think of any more way to improve it... except for DECALS. All the artwork is included, if you want to add them to yours. And if you manage to print tiles, please sell me a couple!
It's time for a new mumbling episode .
Lately I started joining facebook groups to advertise my work like other AFOL/TFOL. I even saw somebody building my Venator which made me so proud, it's very rewarding.
And then I saw this: Somebody acquired instructions on rebrickable, build the model using real bricks and reached that outcome. Here is what it immediately made me think:
- The model looks allright in 3D. Not the best but the main elements are here and the proportions OK.
- The real brick build is a joke. What the hell with this gap between upper and lower hull. the design relies on additional stands not appearing on the 3D model
- The designer could not possibly have built this with real bricks. Proved wrong in comments = www.flickr.com/photos/185425388@N06/50411900357/in/dateta...
- ...which would not be an issue if the instructions were free because as a 3D LEGO designer I went through this steps as well, it's part of the MOC learning curve let's say. But this design costs 5.49 $.
So whom is to blame here?
> The designer? Nope. Although the design is defective, it is likely that the designer did his best to recreate is favourite ship. I don't think any designer could craft a scam by intentionally selling a defective design (Hanlon would agree heh).
> Rebrickable? Pretty much yeah. As per their FAQ their are some criteria to fulfil in order to sell a design, being buildable and consistent with the 3D model is not one of them.
Rebricable allowed 1 defective designs to be sold. How many are defective in their database? How much profit do they make from customers thanks to those? Isn't it some kind of scam because you only detect it's defective after you bought the instructions AND parts to build it? not proven, but it would seem Rebrickable does not profit much from this anyway.. Reduced team for community service like MOCpages, but with the possiblity to sell designs.
To be noted that amazing designs can also be found on Rebrickable from various designers. Some are sold but others are free!
And also, there is no such issue with Brickvault which emphazises MOC quality before all, testing all models on the catalog before selling (and showcasing them).
So what do you think? is my analysis of the situation correct? Feel free to comment.

Here is my 1436 piece, 36cm long, proportionally accurate (hopefully, for the most part) Razor Crest.
I used Hasbro’s super detailed Haslab Razor Crest model as a reference to try and create a moc as accurate as possible and I’m quite pleased with how it’s come out.
I also designed an angled stand for it that slots in and out of the underside of the ship and it comes with detachable landing gear, fully functional side and rear doors and… a tiny little Mando and Grogu waiting inside.
I've made some small updates to my Midi scale Republic Gunship. It now has a slightly more accurate front, a higher cockpit, it's 10% smaller and cheaper (27cm long, around £45 to build) and has new rocket launchers on top. Instructions for the LAAT are on Rebrickable, link below or on my profile.

As always all the parts are all common and it’s a pretty strong build, even with the open crew area it’ll stand up to some swooshing. The bubble turrets can be added/removed easily and the doors adapted to close over the arms. There's also an angled stand included and a teeny tiny BARC speeder, for those of you who are more into your Phase 2 galactic warfare.
Version 2 instructions are now available, along with some new colours; 501st blue, 212th orange, Muunilinst 10, Corsicana Guard and Ahsoka's 332nd.

The Y-45 armored transport hauler, also known as AT-hauler, built by Kuat Drive Yards and used for the Galactic Empire, with its very agressive and intimidating design, was a great Midi-scale challenge.
Accurately Microfig-scaled (or trophy-scaled), and made of 623 pieces, this MOC features all the typical angles and details of the original cargo ship: agressive cockpit shape, intricate wing angles, lower bridge with its guard-rails and stairs, ion engines and magnetic clamps, holding on a single, secure Lego stand.
With very simple connections, both arms can be installed upwards to put the ship in landing mode.

In 2013, Lockheed Martin proposed a successor to the legendary SR-71 Blackbird, which was retired in 1998. The rationale behind this proposal was that there was a coverage gap between surveillance satellites, as one would have to wait for a satellite’s orbit to line up with a target. To be practical, the new aircraft would have to fly faster than the SR-71 to avoid modern air defenses and close that surveillance gap. The proposed concept was a hypersonic stealth UAV that was to be propelled by the simultaneous use of turbojets and scramjets. The SR-72 would have a top speed in excess of Mach 6 or 6751.97 ft/sec (almost twice the top speed of the SR-71’s Mach 3.2). While the IRL SR-72 exists only on paper, Top Gun: Maverick delivered us the first believable hypersonic aircraft on the big screen.
TGM’s take on the SR-72 is a manned hypersonic stealth aircraft with a top speed of around Mach 10. It is important to note that ridiculously fast speed is not entirely Hollywood. In 2004, NASA’s X-43 scramjet reached a record speed of Mach 9.6. In addition, the prop used in filming was constructed by the infamous Skunk Works, and it was so believable that China repositioned a spy satellite to observe it. In conclusion, TGM has shed light on a new, and exciting realm of high-speed aeronautics that is pushing the envelope of what man can do.
Dimensions of the movie prop are unavailable, so I used the IRL SR-72’s reported dimensions. The Darkstar in 1:72 scale would likely be smaller than this model; but nonetheless, I am still very happy with how this model turned out. I am still a little iffy on the windshields, but the only way to achieve the exact shape would be to print it. The model has retractable main gear and the nose gear can be removed, so the underside of the model is flush for “flight”. I hope y'all enjoy it, and happy building!
Somehow I forgot to post these photos of the real build. I'm pretty sure that once I had the Reliant AND Enterprise-A in my hands I started an extended active day dream that involves swishzooming them around the house, erm, I mean the Mutara Nebula. Surprisingly I have not once reenacted the activation of the Genesis Device. Too much work!
I much requested insane version of my Huracan😀
It was added on Rebrickable to my 5 Huracan models (white/red/black/orange/lime)
To the Dark Blue Performante instructions and the rest of them (yellow/lbg/dbg)were uploaded as a separate release.
I myself keeping this red version, I love this spec and it kinda emphasizes its crazy nature😀

The Liberator started as an nice idea for an alternative colour scheme but after rewatching Rebels quickly turned into my Blockade Runner of choice! I’ve made it an equal option alongside my Tantive IV on Rebrickable, the builds are only subtly different (apart from the colours), in my opinion this one is much better looking :)
Instructions are on Rebrickable, I’ve build this ship for myself so I’ll post photos of this along with other micro ships soon!

Another fun rebrickable find. Meant for the ship in the bottle, I like the stand alone version of it. I still need to get the right 6x6 plate color, but otherwise is complete.
I’ve been dragging my heels, this ones been up on Rebrickable a week already. The bomber was a very satisfying shape to replicate, tricky though as I couldn’t find a way to hold the back-to-back plates of the fin together without building a base directly into it. I threw in Tallie Lintra’s Resistance A-Wing with this too, as I hadn’t included it with any other micro ships before. rebrickable.com/mocs/MOC-66320/ron_mcphatty/resistance-bo...

Yes, it's still the falcon...
only some studs bigger than my old model of 2019 but this one comes with a lot updates and features a complete new covering.
It took about 2 years on an off working on this one.
This time I tried to get as close as possible to the circle form
and I tried to close most of the gabs on the covering.
The model features many ucs styled details within a scale that fits on every shelf.
Due to the system scale the proportions are still a bit bulk. therefore it has a full interior!
The model is more strength now. E.g. the cover slices can be fixed in position.
Still this is more a display model than play model.
I tried to built the instructions as much understandable as possible. But as I am a not the best practiced builder, there can be tough sections here and there.
funfacts:
3985 Parts
57x 42 Studs
2.450kg
If you own my moc from 2019 you already have about 60-70% of pieces.
You' ll also get a discount for the new instructions! pm me
Stud.io file on request
also I can share different part lists for the model without interior
or inner structure only if you want to try to build it with your own covering.

A highly modified S-100 Stringer-class Starfighter by Rees Serifa's engineers.
Named Vengeance after Rees Serifa joined the Rebellion. Having a life support system, hyperdrive, two X-Wing Laser cannons but boosted for a higher fire rate, two mid-frontal laser cannons, and three powerful engines to bring vengeance swiftly to the enemy.
Serifa was a Pirate Leader who lost her crew to the Empire while she was fighting another Pirate group in the outer rim.
While the pirate group the Empire arrived with its forces above Zeffo and destroyed her cruiser with all hands lost.
The arriving Empire forces didn't know about the conflict between the pirate groups, they were sent to Zeffo to pick up artifacts and to do research. Finding the Cruiser there was a surprise, they knew it was owned by pirates so there was no hesitation in destroying it.
The rest of the forces were mostly lost on Zeffo and she had to retreat.
She pledged to avenge her people and destroy the Empire but with her small squadron of only 3 Starfighters and 2 Snubfighters, it was a difficult task to complete.
She looked to recruit people to her cause but since the Empire was putting terror in people's hearts she was having a hard time getting the numbers to rise anywhere.
After continued raids against small pockets of Empire forces her forces dwindled down to 3 Starfighters, her included. Her vengeance started to look weak.
One day she repelled the Empires forces attacking a damaged Rebel Cruiser, the Captain of the Cruiser asked her to escort them back to the Rebel base. The Rebel Commander offered her to join them and so Rees Serifa and her two companions became the famous Death Squadron of the Rebel Forces.
Seeing her team's amazing skills they decided to supply Serifa's companions with two M52X Starfighters. She was given the title Captain of the Death Squadron which put fear into the Empire's Heart every time they so that black and yellowed wings Starfighter.

In front of you is the most accurate 1:24 scale model of a 1969 Ford Mustang Boss 302. The proportions of the car are 95% the same as the original, it is impossible to do better in this scale. But you can try to improve my model, I will be only glad. My goal was to build the most accurate model of a 1969 Mustang. I decided to build this car after watching the movie "John Wick"
