Suddenly (Seymour), you've now realized that this is the perfect Easter Egg to add to your LEGO city. If you're a fan of the hilarious and deadly musical, "Little Shop of Horrors," be sure to hide it in your city "Somewhere that's Green." ;)

A £45 midi-scale Republic Gunship, better than UCS if all you have is a regular bookshelf! Instructions are available on Rebrickable...

This little Gunship isn't intended to be any particular scale, just roughly the same size as the midi-sized Slave 1 (75312) with as much detail as possible, room for figures and strong enough to be played with. The roof opens up to allow access to the cockpit, which has just enough room for two Clone Troopers/Pilots to get cozy, and the side doors open outwards and fold back so that four Clones can be seated inside. You could put a Jedi in there, some of them may be too tall but with his little legs Yoda will fit standing up and with some care Ahsoka can just about be squeezed in too. Hope you like it, photos on the way next week :)

M52X U Wing Starfighter

M52X U Wing Starfighter was created by Incom Corporation soon after the original U Wing was created in order to make it fully focused on combat.

And managed to create a Higley versatile Starfighter that is prone to speed and has the capability to fire its laser cannons even behind it when it is chased by enemy fighters.

The firing mods can be automatically done by the droid or manually by the pilot.

The guns can rotate 360dgrs wherever they are pointed. Empire pilots feared the M52X as it could strike from mid-maneuver during combat.

Where were these Starfighters during the Rebellion? Well, Incom Corporation was only able to produce 100 of them as the manufacturing was sabotaged by Palpatine's agents for good reason.

Some of the 100 M52X Starfighters were spotted at the rim of the galaxy, whoever engaged one in combat against a skilled pilot had a small chance of escaping.

The rebellion only got 40 during the war, used only in the most important of assault operations.

The M52X had no landing gear as it was supplied with an antigravity generator that could keep the ship above ground when stationary a similar technology found in N-1 Starfighter.

After so many years, the Barracuda has set sail again! But where will she go to? Oh, there's land ahead... Shiver me timbers! The tower on the Sabre Island is still standing there, the Bluecoats watching approaches to Eldorado Fortress. Prepare for battle!

I’ve been messing around with my camera again, trying to find the right balance of shutter speed and ISO to get a crisp photo with a tiny aperture. The little stud-built figures are about double the size they should be, but I feel like I’ve hit the micro-scale limit! I’m thinking of adding these figures to all of my ‘bigger’ micro ships, price is an issue because of colour availability, I’ll keep working on that. This spring's Speed Champions sets brought with them a bunch of new moulds and recoloured elements. My most anticipated was the Pagani wedge in White in 76922 BMW M4 GT3 & BMW M Hybrid V8 Race Cars. For the latter half of last year I was toying with the idea of using them in a downscaled A-wing, so I was delighted when I realized I could use my tablescraps in a fully-fledged MOC!

Most of this came together quite nicely: the Airjitzu windscreen (18591) was an obvious choice at this scale (finally finding a use after almost a decade!), and I was delighted to find an old Technic Connector (x383) in my collection that made an auspiciously good match for the cannons. Some awkward portions of the build included integrating said cockpit (the recess in the fuselage is a bit more angular than I would have liked compared to the curvy windscreen element) and fitting landing gear: I tried my best but there wasn't quite enough space. I did however, manage a nice smooth underside in lieu of landing apparatus!

I think this is pretty close to what some would call 'minifig scale' but ironically, it's too small to fit a whole figure. The head is sitting on a Racers Body (41850), a detail I overthought as you can barely see it in the finished model.

Thanks to New Elementary and LEGO for sending a 76922 set for review. You can read a breakdown of the set here.

The Ash Bear roams the jungle forests of Le-Wahi, the region of Mata Nui home to the Le-Matoran.

This is my take on the generally docile, but occasionally very dangerous orange biomechanical bear from the Bionicle: Mask of Light movie.

If you want to build one yourself, you can! Instructions: rebrickable.com/mocs/MOC-231660/Exetrius/ash-bear/#details

(Btw, for some reason Rebrickable gives the orange droid torsos an outrageous price. Compared to what's available on BL that can't be right, right?)

Slave One 75312, in Jango’s colours. Instructions are on Rebrickable.

Building on my modified Slave 1 I’ve swapped the dark red parts for various blue wedges and plates (those 3x3 wedges still aren’t available in dark blue, come on Lego!) And added a few yellow accents to make a cheap Jango Slave 1 colour swap.

I say cheap, the extra parts will still cost around £10, but the dark red parts are fairly easy to remove and the colour swap straightforward to do. Having said that, I’ve done the mod instructions a bit differently so you’ll have to concentrate if you decide to follow them.
