Reason #530,546: AC (aptly named Attack Cat), a Siamese, was another gift through a co-worker, and she came declawed. The person who had her since kittenhood had kept her in a bathroom all the time. When we got her at 5 years old, she could turn on a faucet, open cupboards, etc. She had a difficult time with people at first, and a huge three-bedroom house to roam. Then she was a hoot. Anhinga (Anhinga-anhinga):
This is a good reason not to litter, birds are curious creatures and may think your trash is food. This Anhinga was trying to eat what appears to be a piece of trash that was thrown into the water, shown in this photo and the next two. This became stuck on his beak and I do not know how long it took him or if he ever was able to remove it. Over a week or so later I heard others at Green Cay talking about this bird. So next time, don't litter, it could cost some of nature's most beautiful creatures thier life.

As some of you will know I've recently been away from flickr for quite a while. This was for various reasons, mostly everyday life getting in the way of flickr time. But also I've had a major lack of ideas lately. But one thing I find is always a huge tonic to remedy these idea vacuums is going somewhere new, which is what we did today. And while we were surrounded by rolling countryside which, while always pleasant, is nothing new for us it was still different. And that difference usually gets me thinking about photos. You see new views. They may only be subtly different to things you normally see but they are still different and it gets your brain going. And your shutter finger clicking.
