driving in the pass that cuts through the Superstition Mtns. (just East of Phoenix) ...
this was in the last third of the trip ... my move from Texas to Los Angeles ... 1989. See the full truckbed and tarp ?
I remember this as a moment of boredom while stuck in a "traffic jam" but it looks like the truck is moving so it would seem that this is an example of reckless driving behavior before the advent of the cellphone... oops
Just another sunset. All the smoke in the air has been making for some nice colors.
Taken through the rear-view mirror driving down the freeway.
At the beginning of 2025, I became the stage manager for my bestie. For her directiorial debut, she chose the Vagina Monologues. I loved it! I'm not a theater person so it was all new to me. I love plays but I've never been behind the scenes.
The page on the left contains words from the play, words that women use to refer to their "private parts." One scene was performed brilliantly by Lexi exploring the word cunt. I always viewed it as an insult, no more! After shouting it out loud for nights, it has a whole new meaning.
The page on the right is remembring all the beautiful places we visited, all the amazing flowers and birds in British Columbia, Oregon, Utah, Montana, New Mexico and Georgia.
Evacuation on Highway 288 from Alvin toward Houston on Wednesday afternoon. (took us 3 hours to travel what usually takes us 25 minutes)
Taking a quick trip to Target for few items was worth it. Took this through my sideview mirror (driver side) and underexposed it one or two stops. No post.
That's my car on the right. Not sure if I like that element or not.
I do like the cloud in front of the sun though.
Day 232 of 365
The red of the starter offers a counterpoint to the black and silver tones of this classic cruiser parked outside a cycle shop on Yonge Street.
