originally i had this titled "Moondance"..but what kept me photographing this view was the creepy vibe and mystery it provoked...so, i changed titles to reflect my original "feel" to this image.
Heading up towards the Kennedy and out to the burbs, it's funny how dull the things seem compared to the colorful city behind me.
I created this image with PhotoShop CS, using two separate images. The church building is located in Pensacola, Florida (© Bill Lollar) and the automobile is cruising Cincinnati, Ohio (see original image HERE (© Michael Reece).

Evacuation on Highway 288 from Alvin toward Houston on Wednesday afternoon. (took us 3 hours to travel what usually takes us 25 minutes)
The light reflects off the rearview mirror.
It always reflects of the mirror, almost blinding and impossible to escape. No matter how fast or far he drives there was no way to get away from the light.
On the road was were he belonged. The trees and paint on the road a blur, flying by at 70 miles an hour. To slow down was to lose a challenge. An unsaid challenge that kept him always ahead of that light.
To follow that light, he knew that he would have to give up on the road. To give up on the road would be to give up himself. He didn't know why he had to outrun that light, why it meant so much to him. He only knew that he had to stay ahead.
