ABOUT THE EVENT: Day 3 of the 60 Mile Walk Fundraiser for Breast Cancer Awareness. This was a Tampa Bay event that at Sand Key and ended in South Straub Park in St Petersburg. The Closing Ceremonies were held at Spa Beach. The St Petersburg Pier, Vinoy Hotel and downtown St Petersburg provided a great backdrop!

Grandfathered into the new GTS class from last year's Touring Car class, these Acuras were in tough against very fast opposition - a Corvette and a Lotus Exige S. Cunningham would finish third in GTS in Sunday's race.

SCCA Pro Racing World Challenge, Victoria Day Speedfest weekend. Not sure I quite got the colour balance right on this, nor the angle of the car, but everything else I tried looked worse.

This is not a sped-up video. This is the fastest I've ever seen a sea star move. These thing eat coral polyps. Normally, the lack of nutrients keeps their numbers around a reef low, but pollution can make the population explode, causing a lot of damage to a coral reef. In Australia, they're letting people just pick them off the Great Barrier Reef because they're so out of hand.

This is a preview of a parametric conceptual design tool for architectural practice that I have been developing at NBBJ. I wanted to develop a system that allows designers to quickly organize and understand complex architectural programmes in three dimensions.

It is an advancement of the traditional bubble diagram; it solves adjacency requirements automatically and suggests planimetric and sectional relationships. The resulting diagrams are not formal solutions; they are simply organizational diagrams with solved adjacencies and accurate required areas. The diagrams are raw materials, meant to be manipulated sculpturally, or even squeezed into a formal container.

Technical Information

The tool was created in the Grasshopper plug-in for Rhino. Custom components, written in VB.NET, read programme data directly from Excel into Grasshopper. The tool uses the Kangaroo engine for realtime spring dynamics simulation.

Class 73 number 73109 (previously E6015) built at English Electirc's Vulcan Foundry in 1966 leads a network rail test train on 18 September 2014. Class 73 number 207 was on the back.

A new sign bridge with ODOT RealTime Signs spans both directions of I-205 at Government Island.

Class 319 dual-voltage electric multiple-unit (EMU) number 319422 (previously 319022) comprised of 77332, 62912, 71793 and 77333 built by BREL York in 1987 or 1988 works 5J88 from Bellingham Siding to Cricklewood Depot on 11 November 2014. From the start of the Govia Franchise (14 September 2014) 24% of Govia Thameslink Railway services were delayed between 12 October 2014 and the 8 November 2014. Between 9 November and 6 December 2014 this improved slightly with only 21.3% being delayed but a further 4% were cancelled. Govia attribute this to train failure of old and new rolling stock and infrastructure problems e.g. track circuit failure, while the watchdog London TravelWatch were also concerned about the lack of train drivers e.g. "an issue with the train crewe" across the franchise.
