A mature wapiti bull emerges from the pines and announces his presence to all in his realm.
I captured this image in the dim light well before sunrise. It was shot at high ISO (6400) and underexposed by about one and a third stops. I applied Lightrooms noise reduction technology at 30% and was surprised and pleased with the results. It is by no means perfect, but it went from a grainy mess to a usable image that I really like. There seems to be a lot of hesitation from folks to push their ISO, but with today's cameras and noise reduction software, so many new opportunities for images can be explored.
This is a small section of “Spirits of the Realms” murals painted in 2017 for the Drum is Calling Festival, Canada 150+ event.
The murals cover Larwill Park's retaining walls on Dunsmuir, Beatty and Georgia Streets in downtown Vancouver.
The indigenous-themed murals were created by indigenous artists.
Haisla Collins collaborated on Spirits of the Realms, along with her group Ravens' Eye Crew, which includes artists Jerry Whitehead, Sharifah Marsden, Mehren Razmpoosh, Richard Shorty, and Vanessa Walterson.
The indigenous-themed festival celebrated the contributions and cultures of First Nations, Inuit, and Metis artists. Programming was planned in collaboration with three local First Nations – the Musqueam, Squamish, and Tsleil-waututh.

"Realm of Silence" 2016
Ich freue mich auf den Bergsommer 2017. Freue mich auf die neuen Abenteur und die Ideen die ich diesen Sommer umsetzen möchte. Habe ein paar kleinere Bergseen, die ich gerne besuchen möchte. Dann freue ich mich natürlich auf den Tripp in die Dolomiten. Bin gespannt welche Stimmungen ich diesen Sommer in den Bergen erleben darf. Hier ein Bild vom letzten August als ich mit Thomas Hugi auf dem Eggishorn war. Auch ein unvergesslicher ausflug mit unvergesslicher Stimmung. Es war eine eisig kalte Nacht - zum glück durften wir in der Bergstation übernachten. Am anderen nach Morgen nach dem Fotografieren mussten wir dann wegen Problemen mit der Gondel vom Eggishorn herunter wandern.

Couple friends and I, went on a little road trip, and we were unplugged from everything (no iPhones). Such an amazing time, and saw so many things. An unbelievable little get away, more pictures coming soon.
The glacial landscape of Mount Cook National Park is truly amazing, and we had perfect conditions for the hike up Hooker Valley. Here's the teal waters flowing out of Mueller Lake seen from one of several swinging bridges

(Wow. One thing that can be said for the new photostream is that it is very pano-friendly.)
A monochrome capture of a contemporary building's facade from Obarrio, Panama City, highlighting the symmetrical grid pattern of windows with irregular insets, the pronounced reflection of clouds, and an intriguing protruding structure that adds depth and contrast. The right side showcases a more traditional vertical design, juxtaposing the two architectural styles.
After spending the sunrise above the sea of clouds, photographing from the mountaintop, I decided to wander into this enchanting forest. In autumn, its beech trees turn into a warm, magical palette of colors. The mist adds a touch of mystery that helps create a dreamlike atmosphere and gives depth to the scene.

Taken at Credit Island. This small island on the Mississippi holds an abundance of birds in the winter months. Here, two young Bald Eagles soar above the river.
Credit Island is an island in the Mississippi River on the south west side of Davenport, Iowa within the Quad Cities area. Its name was derived by the use of the island as an early Indian trading post. Credit could be obtained on the promise of hides and skins to be delivered at a later time - hence Credit Island.

This is a total sub time of 2 hours exposure of the are of the sky containing the constellation Scorpius, or Scorpio.
In this constellation there is also part of Ophiuchus, Rho Ophiuchus/Antares gas and dust Region, the Milky Way and various nebulae through out, such as the Cats Paw, Trifid and Omega nebulae.
Scorpius is a large constellation located in the southern hemisphere near the center of the Milky Way.
Exposed using a DSLR and a lens set at 35mm focal length.
I'm missing the creativity I had during my 52 Weeks Project.
Too tired to even type a legitimate description,. I've had the flu for two weeks now. I thought I'd tell you all however, that one of my photographs will be projected in New York City on October 5th. Thank you to everyone who supported me over on the See.Me. website <3
So ready for a break and some time off.

It was really an adventure to take this scene, also the ride to it, deep in the forest and back. Thanks to Gina for assistance and drive, she may be could think about a new hobby, ralley ! :-)
