Raindrops keep falling on my lens -

But that doesn't mean my eyes will soon be turnin' red

Yes those dots on the photo are raindrops ,they were all over it but managed to remove the worst of them, that's the price you pay for not having a lens hood I guess

The completely frozen Jokulsarlon lagoon with it's icebergs and the mighty Breiðamerkurjökull glacier in the background...quite a sight...:)!

[I spent less than 24 hours in Canada recently, during which time I gallivanted in the forest with my wonderful friends Peter Jamus, Elizabeth Gadd, and Rob Woodcox. Thank you, Lizzy, for being such a wonderful model for me, and thank you, Rob, for helping with the crown.]

The land on the far left is Raasay, which lies between the Scottish Mainland and the Isle of Skye. The water off to the right is the entrance to Loch Portree and then Portree Harbor. The whole region is a big spot for golden eagles and sea eagles, and we saw quite a few, though--having only a phone cameras--I took no photos of them. I love the harshness and contrast often found in old photos. It's a sort of gritty reality that makes even mundane subjects appear somewhat sinister. This sort of treatment works well with historic places such as this old building, once the home of a local chapter of the International Order of Oddfellows. This was some sort of fraternal organization with strange and rather secretive customs and traditions. I found myself gazing up to this historic facade just as a wicked cold front was descending, whipping up all manner of menacing clouds and wind. The atmosphere could not have been better.

This is the floor inside beneath the temple complex. I made a mosaic of an Ancient Aztec god, but for me that wasn't good enough because I needed more cheese slopes. This is really pretty disappointing as I had high hopes for the mosaic and the idea was brilliant in my mind, but time ran out, and so did parts, so this was all I could do so far. I will try again though I think!

Any advice is welcome :) .
