Fishing with my father in the blue Louisiana rain. His hands shake a little as he baits the hook and I will always remember this afternoon.
I took this at the Self-Realization Fellowship center is in Eninitas California.
The Self-Realization Fellowship Meditation Gardens are open to all that seek to come here to relax their mind, body, and spirit. Walking the grounds here is so tranquil, you can look out over the open waters of the mighty Pacific Ocean or you can find a spot nested in the gardens that gives you shade and floral fragrance as you rest your mind.
In the quiet dance of dreams, a young woman forsakes her past to chase the shimmering silhouette of her acting aspirations. Ava, looking a little displeased with our Thanksgiving dinner, as she decided that there was nothing she was going to like. She ended up trying tiny bites of some things, but she mostly just ate the raw carrots that Steve had saved out for her, some turkey(!), and some of the ginger snaps that were used to make the crust for the cheesecake. The rest was rejected. Evan, on the other hand, loved the vegetables the most, especially the beets and brussels sprouts. Steve and I are apparently the only ones who really like stuffing, mashed potatoes, and black trumpets.

Sam got his cast off today but was very upset to learn he can't play
basketball for two more weeks. He cried most of the way home and also
came to the realization that he really shouldn't go to the gym during
after school care either. Dylan piped up at that point and said, "I
won't go to the gym either, I love you Sam, more than the gym". It's
nice to have the cast off but I guess the doctor wants to ease back
into the full contact 7 year life style. He'll be ready for sleding
next week.
