How do we attain Self-Realization/Atma Gnan? Is it only through positive intent? Or do we need a teacher?
Pujya Deepakbhai explains in this video, that only if we have infinite merit karma, we get a chance to see a Self-Realised Soul (that of a Spiritual Master) and we can also get Atma Gnan. It cannot be forced upon someone, the desire has to come from within.

The service being rendered by you is not properly directed.
If the SUPREME PERSONALITY OF GODHEAD is served,
all other parts and parcels will be automatically served and satisfied.
Consequently all welfare activities as well as service to society,
family will be realized by your serving the
SUPREME PERSONALITY OF GODHEAD.
The GOD consciousness simply deals with your Eternal relationship with HIM
and the process of discharging your relative duties to HIM.
The GOD consciousness enables you to achieve
the Highest Perfection of life attainable
in the present human form of existence.

The memorial against war and fascism (1) is located on Helmut-Zilk square which is bordered by Tegetthoff street 10, Augustinians street 8, Führich alley 5 and Albertina square 1. It is the southern part of the area of 1945 destroyed Philipp court next to the Albertina.
The genesis goes back to 1971 (design drawings, preliminary studies). After the city of Vienna had signed a contract in 1983 with the sculptor Alfred Hrdlicka, according to which he should create a memorial for this location, the realization faltered. Only in 1988 (as part of the remembrance of the events of the year 1938) was the realization accelerated. Under the pressure of the media and the local opposition, which advocated for another location, and by the objection of the Federal Ministry of Science and Research, the federal government had the area at that time the municipality of Vienna with the condition of non-development left, the realization was delayed again; even the holding of a plebiscite was considered. Finally, in May 1988, Mayor Helmut Zilk decided in favor of the Albertina square site; the still unfinished monument was erected and unveiled on November 24, 1988. The solemn handover of the completed memorial took place on June 21, 1991. In 2009, a year after Zilk's death, the site of the memorial was named Helmut Zilk Square.
The figure of the street-washing Jews, memory of the events of 1938, had to be provided with a crown of thorns afterwards, because tourists repeatedly had sat down on the figure.

Nachdem die Stadt Wien 1983 mit dem Bildhauer Alfred Hrdlicka einen Vertrag geschlossen hatte, demzufolge er ein Denkmal für diesen Standort schaffen sollte, geriet die Realisierung ins Stocken. Erst 1988 (im Zuge des Gedenkens an die Ereignisse des Jahrs 1938) wurde die Realisierung beschleunigt. Unter dem Druck von Medien und der kommunalen Opposition, die für einen anderen Standort eintraten, und durch den Einwand des Bundesministeriums für Wissenschaft und Forschung, der Bund habe das Areal seinerzeit der Gemeinde Wien mit der Auflage der Nichtverbauung überlassen, wurde die Realisierung nochmals verzögert; selbst die Abhaltung einer Volksabstimmung wurde erwogen. Schließlich entschied im September 1988 Bürgermeister Helmut Zilk zugunsten des Standorts Albertinaplatz; das noch unvollendete Denkmal wurde aufgestellt und am 24. November 1988 enthüllt. Die feierliche Übergabe des vollendeten Mahnmals erfolgte am 21. Juni 1991. 2009, ein Jahr nach Zilks Tod, wurde der Standort des Mahnmals als Helmut-Zilk-Platz benannt.
Die Figur des straßenwaschenden Juden, Erinnerung an die Ereignisse von 1938, musste nachträglich mit einer Dornenkrone versehen werden, da sich immer wieder Touristen auf die Figur gesetzt hatten.

Visited Nancy and the new little niece last night. She has yet to be named so for now she is "Baby Girl Taylor" There are worst names, really. Duane was going for Rue McGoo. The baby was "this big" weighing in at a whopping 6lbs even! So cute! Congratulations, Nancy and Brian! You are someone's parents!
You may see tons more baby photos here for Duane's extended family who do not live in the area...and I gots to make them public just to make it easy for everyone!

We stopped along the road to enjoy the scenery when I noticed a larger yellow bird off on a tree near us. It was a western tanager - a bird I had never seen before. What a great spot for bird watching. Wonderful drive and hike up Flagstaff Mountain to the west of Boulder, Colorado late on Saturday June 3rd, 2023. The outdoor spaces near Boulder are definitely worth the trip and live up to their billing. Visiting Rocky Mountain National Park and Boulder, Colorado with my son for a few days. What an amazing place. Pictures from June 3rd, 2023.
