I haven't been doing much in the way of in-depth personal photography projects lately, but I have been engaged heavily in listing shoots for Airbnb (www.airbnb.com). They certainly keep me gainfully employed, and I can't emphasize enough how awesome it is to meet new people on a regular basis while doing their shoots.
Figured I'd toss up a few of my most recent month's take of nicely designed interiors (that also happen to be lived-in places!). :)
Jackman's new flick 'Real Steel' enjoyed its red carpet premiere in Sydney, Australia tonight, in front of a crowd of about 500 screaming fans.
Jackman says he's finally made a film that gets the stamp of approval from his two children.
The actor might be best known for playing “X-Men’s” Wolverine but Hugh’s kids are right into giant boxing robots and the underdog spirit.
“This is the first time they’ve really connected with one of my films. I don’t let them watch ‘X-Men,’” Hugh told Access Hollywood before flying down under to Australia.
Jackman has also revealed how he believes adopting his children was his "destiny".
Jackman and his wife Deborra-Lee Furness were unsettled when they were advised they couldn't have kids naturally but now they know it was fate to welcome Oscar, 11, and six-year-old Ava into their lives.
He told Rupert Murdoch's Herald Sun newspaper: "It was painful. It's not easy. You put a lot of time and effort into it, so it's emotional. I think any parent can relate - trying to have children is wonderful and when you feel as though that's not going to happen, there's a certain anxiety that goes with it.
"We thought we'd have a kid or two biologically and then adopt. But when we decided we'd had enough of IVF, we went ahead with adoption.
"From the moment we started the adoption process, all the anxiety went away. I don't think of them as adopted - they're our children. Deb and I are believers in I suppose you could call it destiny. We feel things happened the way they are meant to. Obviously, biologically wasn't the way we were meant to have children."
Jackman was extremely generous with his time tonight with the fans and media, and I'm most grateful for the time he spent with my family who were in the fans section. Jackman is one of the world's most successful and popular actors, and he's still a big kid at heart, and you can see it in his eyes how much the 'Wolverine' appreciates his fans, both young and old.
The popular Aussie acting icon elaborated about his latest film: "It was great fun. It was like playing the best video game ever."
Starring in the science fiction film Real Steel which opened this week the acting legend plays former boxer Charlie Kenton, brought out of retirement when remote-controlled fighters reinvent fighting. "Think Rocky meets Transformers," Jackman joked.
When interviewed about the film by Event News Jackman shared that he also enjoys pro wrestling and was delighted to have finally stepped foot in a WWE ring, and event got to punch out Dolph Ziggler (as part of him getting behind underdog wrestling Zack Ryder). Woo Woo Woo lverine.
Industry buffs will be interested to learn that Real Steal is a DreamWorks film being released by Disney's Touchstone Pictures.
It seems that at the moment 'Our Hugh' is unstoppable and a real knockout, be it in boxing robot flicks, Marvel comic book movies, wrestling rings or anywhere else.
He's a champ and the movie is a champion effort that is bound to appeal to kids all all ages.

While driving around in Oceanside I saw this scene. It made me wonder what it was like here sixty years ago....
Real Colegiata de San Isidoro de León
We stayed in St Isidoro Hotel, which has been converted from the monastery attached to the Collegiate Church of Saint Isidore. At the time of our stay 6 elderly monks still resided in their cells, ate breakfast in the refectory and attended services and prayers as their health allowed.
A masterpiece of Spanish Romanesque architecture, the Collegiate Church of Saint Isidore is considered among the most important Romanesque monuments in Spain. The original 10th-century church was built in the pre-Romanesque style of Asturias, similar to the ancient buildings in Oviedo. This early church was destroyed in 988 by Al-Mansur and later renovated by Christian Kings Alfonso V and Ferdinand I in the 11th and 12th centuries. In classic Romanesque style, the church was rebuilt with three naves and three apses - although the apses were converted to Gothic style. Because it houses the tomb of Saint Isidore (Bishop of Seville), the church has special importance to Spanish Catholics.
The finest features of the exterior are the two Romanesque doorways: the Puerta del Cordero (Doorway of the Lamb); the main doorway with sculptured figures of Saint Isidore, Saint Pelayo, and the Lamb of God; and the Puerta del Perdón with a relief of the Crucifixion. A highlight of visiting San Isidoro is the Panteón Real (Royal Pantheon) found on the west end of the church. Decorated with ornate marble columns, this vaulted chamber contains the burial vault of kings, princes, and nobles of the León region. The ceilings and vaulting are covered with superb frescoes depicting Biblical scenes and hunting scenes interwoven with animal and plant designs. These vibrant, masterful paintings have earned the Pantheon the distinction of being compared to the "Sistine Chapel" in Vatican City. (A highlight but shut while we were there)
When I was little I always looked up to the “big kids” at the arcades. I was always afraid to get my ass kicked by them in a game, but it happened nonetheless. The real players always came from arcades, in my opinion, haha.

Well this is me...in some really old jammies....in our messy room...real life at it's best.
I'm not sure why I can't keep this room clean. It drives me crazy, like really crazy but no matter how hard I try there is always toys, clothes, blankets, dog toys, art supplies, books, cups, day old eggo waffles, loose change, shoes, camera equipment, dirty diapers, etc. EVERYWHERE.
One day this will be my sanctuary where no kids are allowed and everything has it's place but until then it looks like the master bedroom will be a disaster zone.
Side note: Corey took this picture with the Xpro1 and the only light used was from the hallway.
The Real D "gantry" on an NEC NC2500S projector. This holds the Z Screen, which does the polarization for the glasses of guests watching a show. I firmly believe that the space shuttle could launch from this thing. several points of attachment, and blocks access to the top panel of the projector. At least it takes me a while to get the top off to work on the machine.
