St Laurence
Church of England
The church dates from the Norman period but underwent major rebuildings in 1196, in the 15th century, and again in 1867.
In the 1970s, a declining congregation meant that the parish of St Laurence was merged with that of St Mary's.
Numbers continued to decline, and at the end of the 20th century, it was decided to seek a new role for the church.
The interior of the church was reordered and a modern mezzanine floor was inserted to one side of the nave.
Today St Laurence serves as a Church of England Mission Church with a mandate to encourage faith amongst young people.

One of my first memories is reading in bed in summer. I specifically recall reading 'A Child's Garden of Verses.' I seemed to be in bed early (had I been naughty?) But with a summer breeze blowing and the sun outside it is a memory that still glows. I still relish creeping into bed in the late afternoon and reading.

We went to see the photo exhibition. At the lunch time, she is reading a flier of the exhibition. It was an exhibition of Mr.Junji Takasago, and there, I saw the photo night rainbow taken in Hawaii! That's really fantastic!
We have two readings in the evening, one for each.
When Graham is travelling, I try to have only one, but it is not very easy as the kids have different interests. One looks and points at everything and the other one asks 10 000 questions.
But, they love books and that's what matters! :)
The ancient wooden sign (painted to look like one of the Reading's cast iron signs) was on the platform at Pottsville four years after the Reading had merged into ConRail. April 17, 1981.
