This is the Raspberry Torte book that came in McDonald's Happy Meals. I think her purple eyes look beautiful.
we had cake at work, and it was really good. i got a raspberry chocolate cake with frosting that was very smooth and rich but not too sweet. it had raspberry jam on top. the cake part was soft and semi-moist, with a lighter chocolate mousse between the frosting and the cake. the middle had a fudge-like icing, and the bottom layer was more raspberry jam.
I have to re-take the pics when it's actually light outside, but I finally got the coloring and translucency right for the raspberries :) I've got a bunch of projects for these beauties - stay tuned.
Just a few pictures of things I picked from my garden today - I haven't learned to use flash in photographs yet, so was pleased that these came out so well (in my eyes)

You know if you type the word raspberry enough times you start to wonder if it really is spelt that way!

Daily pickings from my raspberry vines. The bird netting works a treat. Behind is my self-watering wicking bed of leafy greens. I built it according to an article in my Gardening Australia magazine and in the heat of summer I fill up the water reservoir only once a week (rather than the daily watering I usually do for my other beds).
Mid-Autumn I plan to pull all this up and prepare the bed for Spring bulbs!
The raspberries were just rippening as we arrived. So every walk about the island included a little hit of raspberries. Yum!
Project canceled. The display unit died, and the Raspberry Pi would drop packets because the kernel wasn't quite real time enough to report all the interrupts in time. I received a Acurite 5in1 weather station for Christmas that has a usb port. I reflashed the SD card for Raspbian Jessie and installed weewx, then connected the Acurite console to the Raspberry Pi. Works nicely!
A handful of wild raspberries, collected in a wood near Marlborough, Wiltshire. They tasted pretty good, but the combination of sunlight and sharp focus makes them look almost artificially luscious.
The very last stages of development of Raspberry PI SAFE - the enclosure became slimmer and holds the Raspberry PI board better preventing it from shifting around. We also adjusted the tolerances and made the parts fit nicer together.
We've recently changed our shopping and eating habits and have moved in a much more healthy and organic direction. I'm not complaining - the food has been awesome and I feel a hundred times better!
Raspberries are just one of the many fresh picked fruits that fill our refrigerator these days. And yes, I will kill you if you try to eat them.
