i tried to describe the taste of raspberries to sophia the other day and the only thing I could come up with is "they taste pretty" she agreed!
This is one of our tulips which we planted late Autumn. We put a small collection of the more ''exotic' tulip bulbs in a big pot by the kitchen door and after a slow start, they've grown splendidly and are an absolute delight to see.
Fresh produce is so beautiful and amazing to me. I love the shapes and textures, the promise of delicious juicy sweetness. There isn't much to do to improve upon fresh fruit, just wash, pop it in your mouth and enjoy!
Raspberry derives its name from raspise, "a sweet rose-colored wine" (mid-15th century), from the Anglo-Latin vinum raspeys, or from raspoie, meaning "thicket", of Germanic origin.[1] The name may have been influenced by its appearance as having a rough surface related to Old English rasp or "rough berry".

Delicious taste.
They can be a nuisance and invasive in the garden, but Omnom if you are out hiking and grab a couple, they are all over the place now - its like an explosion of taste in your mouth.
