A very fine dog walk. We saw California Quail in two different places and saw these little rabbits in two different places. I assume they are mated pairs, considering the season.
Still testing my 400/3.5. On this shot, I used it together with my (modified) TC17E II converter to get a focal length of 680mm... (The original size is a 100% crop of the image)
I live in a temporary apartment and although it's not my preferred housing, the lake that surrounds the property and our proximity to big open fields by Denver International Airport allows me to see plenty of wildlife. I get to take pictures of it, too! Rabbits are everywhere and they drive the dogs crazy. This morning I came across this soft little rabbit. He ears are so cute! And he's very much aware of me.
Yesterday I came across 2 juvenile rabbits grazing, one of which was black - apart from a white spot on its head. According to my mammals book black (melanic) rabbits are occasionally found on offshore islands where there is a lack of predators - which implies that black rabbits are more likely to be seen and caught. Good luck to this one!
My brother is moving to Florida (from Ohio) and this little fellow was hanging around while we were in and out of his house while loading a huge trailer. Maybe he senses he will never see them again.
There is a colony of domestic rabbits that live wild at Perriswood archery centre. It is great to see baby bunnies hoping around in the sun nibbling the grass.
This is Griffin. I picked him up from the vet hospital after he was neutered. He was to be delivered to the shelter I help out, but not until the next day. So, he and another (Dustina) got to spend the night at my house.
Depending on your perspective in life, this a cute baby bunny, or the darned rabbit that is eating the flowers.
I'm trying to locate a different channel using my bunny ears. Hmmmmm..let me try the left down and the right up..
These are abandon pet rabbits that were dumped in Jericho Park in Vancouver BC. Perhaps to be food for coyotes or birds of prey. Please do not give someone a rabbit as a pet, they are not disposable when you are tired of them.
