This is my entry for this years Nnovvember.

Lewisham Bus Station was quite new in 1978, now its been replaced by the DLR station. RT 3351 moved to Bow as a trainer in August and was sold to Wombwells in Feb 80.

And heading back to West Croydon

With the area radio car riding shotgun 624 passes the Old Hainault Oak - or where it was, anyway.

And at the old Bromley North Stand.

Resting on the stand in George Street. The flats in the background have gone now, replaced by the Northern relief Road.

RT 1015 only lasted until September.

We called in next at Potters Bar.

Lights, camera, action. I could possiby have been seen in the movie, but more likely ended up on the cutting room floor.

Route 66 Trip

One of the 28 buses that were used on the 140 at peak times.

The locals must have wondered if a pop star was in town!

When in service with LT, spent most of it's working life either at Sutton or Barking Garages.

AEC Society Rally 2022

London Transport RT3902 new to Croydon garage in 1950 has been with Sharpes of Nottingham since 2013 and is a regular visitor to the AEC Rally.

Demolition is well under way at the old Laurie Square in Romford as RT3033 runs 'wrong way round' past Laurie Hall on 5/4/69. Route 66A was withdrawn a year later , replaced by the orig.66 and new 294. This area became a huge roundabout eventually.

Showing signs of having used an RM blind, 489 was another Wombwell short-term guest.

Nest stop Chesham. RT 3752 stars.

Turning in to Engel Park at the start of its westward trip. From Harrow Weald the bus moved to Dalston for a while before heading to Wombwell's in November.

RMs on routes 2a, 13 & 83...........RT on 240

A pair of vintage vehicles. 624 slogs up the bridge on Whalebone Lane, with no interruption from the lights put in a t Selina's Lane some years ago.

No idea!

To commemorate 50 years since the end of crew operation at Edgware garage, RT 2177 operated on route 292 (the last crew route) on Saturday 15 July 2023. I'm a bit younger than the bus, but I have to say the RT was in better condition and running more smoothly than me!

They are original blinds, from the last bus in 1973.

Come on in 3016, your time's up! Steve Lewis captures the event on cine. This bus found its way to France with a trailor company. Is it still there?

With the impending removal of RTs from Catford and Bromley garages south-east London came in for a bit of attention.

Legendary "Runaway Train" from the movie by Andrei Konchalovsky. Locomotives GP40 + F7 + GP7 + GP7 and my favorite villains: Manny (Jon Voight) and Buck (Eric Roberts). Stickers by OKBrickWorks, thank you Andy.

From Catford the bus spent some time at RD as a trainer and was scrapped at Wombwells in April 79.

This area looks rather different now. As do the current surroundings of the bus, as it was exported to Zambia in 1982.

The long-gone Chiswick Works of London Transport had a famous skid pan. Rides on the skid pan were available on an open day in June 1983. It seemed to be very popular! Downstairs only! 20p a ride - wonder how much people would pay for the chance to do it now....
