Mark Rothko was commission to design a chapel in Houston, but died before it was built. Inside is cold and white with giant deep purple and black Rothko canvases surrounding barebones "pews" (really just wooden benches painted black). I don't really like or get Rothko. It was interesting to find such a thing in Houston, though.
