Changing lane with a horse van isn't easy but this confident Roma seems to have it under control.
Note the gilded woodwork and wheels. Highly skilled work done by very few artisans now.
Shot into sun, hence lots of editing to restore details.

I could find little information about this unique headstone and sculpture. The inscription underneath simply reads "Roma Gerard Sculptor" An online search mentions Beatrice Roma Gerard as having owned the Avanti Gallery on New York's Upper East Side at 72nd and Park Avenue. She was born in 1904 and died in 1999

Como acostumbro a hacer con mis viajes veraniegos, hoy os traigo una fotografÃa ferroviaria de mi destino vacacional. En esta ocasión, el destino que escogimos para visitar fue Roma. Paseando por sus calles, me acordaba de cuando de adolescente estudiaba el arte, la cultura y la sociedad romana a lo largo del Imperio. De aquellas, me imaginaba que algún dÃa irÃa a Roma. Y la semana pasada, ese dÃa llegó.
En la imagen, un tranvÃa Fiat Cityway 9200, concretamente el
9239, de la ATAC ( Azienda per i Trasporti Autoferrotranviari del Comune) se encarga de cubrir la lÃnea 3 ( Piazza Thorwaldsen – Trastevere) pasando al lado del espectacular Coliseo.
