Soft yielding water overcomes the hard rock

Low flowing river overcomes the high crag

The stone and timber seat tucked away, behind the brow, in front of the cliff was made by the sculptor Vivien Mousdell. The text is taken from an ancient Chinese Taoist manuscript in which the human journey through life is compared with that of a river through a rocky landscape.

What do you say about a beautiful Rose? No wonder this is THE flower. The light is coming from a flash fired into a silver umbrella. I exposed a stop or two above ambient and then fit the "R" into the background.

I went to a Ron Paul rally in Spokane yesterday. It was packed. If you don't know about this guy, please check him out. Generally speaking I stay as far away from the political process as possible... as in Politics = Slimy

And yet... I traveled 90 miles on winter roads for a political rally yesterday.
