A herd of roe deer near my dads place, Sterksel. Quite difficult to get close to them, had to crawl through two fields, nettle (ouch!) and a muddy ditch, but finally I was able to 'shoot' them..
More by good luck than field craft I found my self down wind from this Roe Deer which was unaware of my presence as it fed. Another good spot on visit to Auchmill Pond.

It was very quiet on the lake with few birds of interest the other day but then there was a surprise visitor.
I was getting closer to this buck, trying to be quiet, when he was spooked by a walker. I like the photo, but not the look on his face. He looks a little too scared for my liking.
Came across these male roe deer dueling it out for all the pretty ladies. It was a pretty fierce battle where the dominant male eventually chased away the exhausted contender.

This rather inquisitive Roe Deer seem to be intrigued by the presence of a couple of Grey Heron in the field that it was trying to cross.
