Dalkeith Country Park, Midlothian

An image taken in gloomy weather with a high ISO, so it's quite noisy. The local farmer had allowed Poppies, Cornflower and Corn Marigold to thrive in one of his fields, providing a very colourful setting for this grazing Roe Deer. Image taken near Duthill, Highlands.

Earlier I already posted a picture of this roe in between the bushes where she has fled into it because of a passing cyclist (www.flickr.com/photos/115540984@N02/53962995818/in/datepo...). This was a moment before when she was grazing very peacefully although she had found out there was somebody pointing a camera at her.

It is one of those moments that you remember for the rest of your life because the whole setting breathed peace and tranquillity. For me the reason to go out as much as possible. With nature I connect, far away as possible from human society.

Roe Deer Buck taken close to the Lindisfarne Nature reserve Northumberland

nice roe deer giving me the hard stare

A handsome roe buck that I regularly see when out walking in local countryside. He's the partner of the doe that has featured in several recent uploads.

Roe buck approaching.

We knew that roe deer visited our yard, it was clearly visible in the hoof prints. It was also not to be overlooked that our roses, sedum and other flowers had been snacked in the past few days. But we did not expect that a deer would visit our garden during the day while we were sitting nearby in the kitchen....
